We are facing global issues of the epidemic Coved 19 and the current war in Ukaraine -this year of 2022. This being the case our personal lives and families, regardless of where we live continue to face enormous personal issues and challenges, therefore I have attempted to cover most experiences, offering some guidance and hope within a global, national and individual settings offering hopeful inspiration to any and all who take a moment off their busy lives to reflect and capture these thoughts with me. Through my many years of working as a Pastor, Evangelist, Educator and and in many secular fields I feel I understand the issues at hand and my sincere desire is to offer comfort and hope to all regardless of personal faith or vocation. Topics includes: Reasons for Despair, Approaches in Handling Despair, Gullibility of Despairing people through Politics, Religion and Medicine & Personal Addictions. Plus further words of inspiration and encouragement from my life's experiences and perspectives (now at the ripe age of sixty-seven) from a Biblical perspective which has largely governed my life since I encountered Christ at thirteen years of age in the land of my birth- Trinidad & Tobago and now a US citizen since 1997. For more of my life read my biographical discussion "Before I Go' also puplished by Amazon. I do not withold my views on how some ingluential Pastors and Politicians use their platforms to "swindle" "abuse" and exploit the miost vulnerable in our society to further their own ends. Even touching on past cults which have ochestrated their "theologies" to perpetuate their deadly causes at the expense of most vulnerable within our societies. Living in fear and incessant despair only destroys ones will and desire to rise above the tragedies of our time but this writer offers hope and a better tomorrow as we lift our eyes upwards to the Creator of our existence. We can rise from utter despair to miraculous hope regardless of our feelings and present obstacles.

Joy, Despair, and Hope recaptures the power and immediacy of psalms for modern readers, showing how these biblical poems can speak to us yet again. Accompanying the author on his personal spiritual search through psalms, readers find their own inner lives given voice within these texts. Edward Feld analyzes fifteen personal psalms from the book of Psalms, showing how each provides a different perspective on the life of faith. Feld's insights reveal how individual psalmists struggle with their faith, how they are wracked by doubt and self-questioning, and how they come finally to a greater understanding of faith. This book's clearly articulated analysis is both moving and sophisticated, helping us to enter the spiritual world of these writers, to recognize our own struggles in their ancient words, and to feel these poets alive and walking beside us. Along the way, Feld teaches us how to read psalms as poems and unlocks both their theological message and their literary splendor. Readers emerge with a new appreciation of and connection to the profound religious life and artistry of the biblical psalmists.

At the end of a century of unfathomable suffering, societies are facing anew the question of how events that shock, resist assimilation, and evoke contradictory and complex responses should be remembered. Between Hope and Despair specifically examines the pedagogical problem of how remembrance is to proceed when what is to be remembered is underscored by a logic difficult to comprehend and subversive of the humane character of existence. This pedagogical attention to practices of remembrance reflects the growing cognizance that hope for a just and compassionate future lies in the sustained, if troubled, working through of these issues.

There's no escaping it: everyone experiences seasons of pain and despair. In 2019, when Amber Haines resigned from her position as church curate and walked out the church doors for the last time, she entered her own season of pain and despair. That season taught her--and her husband, Seth Haines--that the journey toward hope starts with recognizing "the deep down things." In The Deep Down Things, Amber and Seth point to a simple truth: even in the darkest times, there are tangible signs of hope all around us. The authors demonstrate how tasting, touching, feeling, holding, and participating in these tangible acts of hope picks us up, builds our strength, and moves us into beauty, even in times of despair. They invite readers to participate with those signs of hope and thereby experience the divine love of God, even in the struggle of their everyday lives. A lifeline for those who desperately need it, this book helps readers overcome despair, find hope, and spread that hope to an aching world.

Hope and trust are key problems of the present world and should therefore be at the centre of interest of science and society. Climate change, pandemics, dangerous global and social polarization, people's distrust of politics and institutions, social isolation and the rise of mental problems in developed countries of material prosperity are problems that we will only be able to cope with if we know how to cultivate hope and trust. The authors deal with them from various aspects of the humanities: philosophy, theology, religious studies, intellectual history, cognitive science, psychology and psychotherapy. This gives the book an interdisciplinary character.

God Has A Dream written by Desmond Tutu and has been published by Random House this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2011-10-31 with Religion categories.

God Has A Dream is an extremely personal and liberating message of hope and light in dark times. In it, the Archbishop shows how important it is that, even as we face the harsh realities of our individual lives and global conditions, we remember the importance of hope and dreams - for it is on hope and dreams that a better future will be built, and that God's dream for us will be fulfilled. And Tutu also demonstrates how to bring these dreams to fruition in very practical terms, for example in learning how to love, ridding ourselves of our prejudices, opposing injustice, promoting the qualities of forgiveness, humility and generosity in ourselves, taking time to be still and quiet and in being patient. Meant not only for a Christian audience but also for those of all faiths - and none - who are drawn to a life of more inspiration and integrity, God Has A Dream is highly readable and very relevant to the times we live in. Instead of being a political document (as was his previous book No Future Without Forgiveness) this is a major work of contemporary spirituality from a Church leader known for his charisma, robust approach and humour.
