Na testa, entre as sobrancelhas, dos lados do nariz, e acima da boca, como um código de barras. Além das rugas, a pele apresentava agora alguma flacidez, mais perceptível se tombasse a cabeça para baixo. O cabelo, que outrora era farto e brilhante, estava agora mais fino e grisalho, sobretudo nas raízes. As pestanas e as sobrancelhas exibiam algumas falhas. Como se não bastasse, ao aproximar-se mais do espelho, veio a descobrir um pelo isolado no queixo, duro e espetado, lembrando, ao de leve, a bruxa da Branca de Neve.”
