Este trata-se de um diário de um aprendiz de um antigo saber, o da Alquimia que vive hoje no mundo ocidental. Vários dias da sua vida são descritos nas variadas vertentes, desde o Amor, considerada chave universal, até à Filosofia e à Física Quântica. Todos os domínios do saber são abordados na mente deste aprendiz de alquimista. Todos os textos estão em rimas de poesia. Uns maiores do que os outros. No final de cada texto, há em muitos dias um comentário pessoal, para enquadrar o texto poema no contexto da vida do aprendiz de alquimista que é o nosso narrador. A Felicidade é um caminho a percorrer todos os dias e não uma meta num qualquer objeto de sonho, o automóvel, a casa, o emprego, outra coisa pela qual se pode entrar em desequilíbrio e ser infeliz. No dia a dia há que procurar ter mais prazer e emoções positivas do que negativas. A Vida é única! Só se vive uma vez! Então que se viva bem, pois pode não haver repetições nem ensaios. Se algo correr menos bem, há que fazer como o cavalo ao desfilar no evento de gala. Se tiver de efetuar as suas descargas fisiológicas, fá-lo sem qualquer restrição e continua a sua marcha. Também não adianta fugir dos problemas nem das pessoas, pois o mundo é redondo e por mais longe que se vá, voltamos às mesmas dificuldades, aos mesmos locais e às mesmas pessoas. Por isso, segundo o Divino Mestre, há que evitar conflitos com os outros e sanar de boa vontade os que surjam, para o bem maior de todos. Sem prejuízo de cada um se pronunciar correta e legalmente contra as injustiças que sofra. Nesta busca diária da Felicidade, com todas as regras e outras personagens encontradas ao longo da caminhada da Vida, há uma experiência adquirida e que agora e aqui se partilha.
