If you want to learn how to write a love poem, then check out "How To Write a Love Poem" written by a love poetry enthusiast. Love poetry can be about romantic love but far more. It can be about love of country, of a people or nation. It can be about love of ideals such as freedom and peace. Poetry can be rhymed or written in one of many recognized forms of poetry (such as a Sonnet). It can be unrhymed and follow no uniform pattern. In any topic or form, love poetry can be written by making images for the reader and then moving from image to image to express the writer’s chosen feelings and ideas. Love poetry can be inspired by experiences, the classics, legends, heroic figures, patriotism, personal ideals or even the works of other poets. The first step is to understand what love poetry is: a way to relate feelings to the art of words. It is the skillful use of words to bring ideas about feelings and emotions to a reader. One important skill is to be able to capture an image. This should be done in as few words as possible; it can also be done very effectively at the beginning of the write such as in the opening lines or first stanza. Love can mean many things in addition to romantic love: love of a place, a people, a nation; it can be love of people for various reasons. Relationships, friendships, and family are examples of love of this kind. There are unique and special bonds of love between parent and child. All of these forms of love can be the subject of a love poem. Once the image is captured there are choices for the writer to make: to rhyme, use a poetry form; use free verse, use images, or develop a metaphor so that some few words will stand for something much larger in scope. Other forms of poetry are song lyrics, Rap, and spoken poetry. These all have in common the idea of combining rhythm and words. These are even more special talents, to do blend music and/or rhythms into poetry. About the Expert Howard D. Moore is a Government Relations Consultant and writer. About the Expert Deidre Simpson is the author of two books of poetry. During her teen years, she wrote often and was an avid reader as well. Writing poetry kept her balanced and gave her an excellent outlet for her emotional personality. She later became a member of a creative writers’ group at her high school. When the group decided to publish a magazine, she gladly contributed by writing poems and inviting other students to submit their work. In her senior year, she entered a poetry contest held by a local university and received Honorable Mention for her poem. Receiving two diaries for her 10th birthday is what started her writing career. Fiction novels and studying poetry in her middle school English class helped her hobby grow. Her worst experience was having to memorize a favorite poem by a famous author and recite it on video. She was petrified, but her poetry skills were advancing. One of her best memories is of two local poets that visited her creative writing class. According to her, doing what you truly love is the definition of work. Writing is one of the best ways to say something, even if it is only to the self. As she puts it, “Poetry is like a firecracker. It is small and has one form when unlit, like when the poem is finalized. Then when you share it with someone or a group of people, much like lighting it, it shoots into the sky and becomes a huge, beautiful, untouchable cloud after the rain.” HowExpert publishes quick 'how to' guides on all topics from A to Z by everyday experts.

Why I Write written by George Orwell and has been published by Renard Press Ltd this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-01-01 with Literary Collections categories.

George Orwell set out ‘to make political writing into an art’, and to a wide extent this aim shaped the future of English literature – his descriptions of authoritarian regimes helped to form a new vocabulary that is fundamental to understanding totalitarianism. While 1984 and Animal Farm are amongst the most popular classic novels in the English language, this new series of Orwell’s essays seeks to bring a wider selection of his writing on politics and literature to a new readership. In Why I Write, the first in the Orwell’s Essays series, Orwell describes his journey to becoming a writer, and his movement from writing poems to short stories to the essays, fiction and non-fiction we remember him for. He also discusses what he sees as the ‘four great motives for writing’ – ‘sheer egoism’, ‘aesthetic enthusiasm’, ‘historical impulse’ and ‘political purpose’ – and considers the importance of keeping these in balance. Why I Write is a unique opportunity to look into Orwell’s mind, and it grants the reader an entirely different vantage point from which to consider the rest of the great writer’s oeuvre. 'A writer who can – and must – be rediscovered with every age.' — Irish Times

Poetry can be daunting and hard to understand, but it doesn't have to be. I feel a poet has an obligation to write in a way that everyone can understand. Poems should flow softly through a poet's words, their meanings gently caressing the heart and mind of its reader. If a poem comes from the heart, it will reach other hearts, and this is what I've tried to do with the poetry in "Anatomy of a Poet." CJ Heck "Like a rose with many petals and sharing its sweet aroma, this is how I see and feel about the love of my life, CJ Heck. She is my electric blue-eyed girl. She can be both a little girl, or a strong woman, whenever and wherever the situation calls for it. She is both sensuous and exciting, and soft and affectionate. Tragedy struck her life early with the death of her husband in Vietnam. This experience laid open the very core of her heart and soul and opened the channel to a well of compassion and sensitivity that waited deep within. Her pain was the fertilizer that helped her bloom as a writer. CJ's poetry is not a surface observation, but a soulful interpretation of the events and people that inspired her. She writes both eloquently and simply of things that touch her heart, things she wants to share. She is gifted at painting a picture with words on the heart and imagination of others, thereby communicating not just an image, but a life experience. I feel very honored to have been asked to write this introduction and share my feelings about CJ Heck. She is the water for my soil, the sunlight for my petals and the nurturer of my growth. Sit back, open your heart and enjoy the journey as revealed through her words, images and emotions. You are blessed by this opportunity to know her in words, as I know her in life." Robert S. Cosmar, Author "This is my kind of poetry. Direct, beautifully expressed and without a hint of pretension." Allison Cassidy "CJ is predominately viewed as a writer of works for children, but CJ now carries over her approach to more adult themes. In doing so, she presents a profound world that is deeply sad, incredibly humorous and sometimes very intimate." Joseph Daly "I love learning new words, especially when they are explained with such diaphanous clarity. Whether she talks of love, children, life, or any other subject, CJ's words are always clear and harmonious. She makes us forget that easy to read is hard to write." Marc Mimouni (London, United Kingdom) "CJ Heck is a very talented author. Her words are enlightening and charismatic to people of all ages. It is a privilege and honor to read her prolific pen." Janet Caldwell (Managing Editor, Inner Child Magazine

The End of the Poem contains the fifteen lectures delivered by Paul Muldoon as Oxford Professor of Poetry, from 1999 to 2004. Rather than individual and discrete performances, these lectures form a dazzling set of variations around the sustained theme of 'the end of the poem'. Each lecture explores a different sense of an ending: whether a poem can ever be a free-standing structure, read and written in isolation from other poems; whether a poem's line-endings are forms of closure (and where this might leave the poem in prose); whether the poem is completed only with the reader's act of understanding; whether revision brings a poem nearer to its ideal ending (when does a poet know when a poem has come to an end?); what is the right true end of poetry, and is the end of the poem the beginning of criticism, including an Arnoldian 'criticism of life'?

...Once? ? ?Once is about love, loss of love, and wanting love. It is about our brutal truths, mixed with the pleasures of living. My poems cover lovers, good and bad, as well as strong family bonds, and that beautiful connection between music and writing. My writing is like painting a picture, an art form, and I do not color inside the lines, nor do I care to. I do not feel the need to send you running for the dictionary to paint a picture, or confuse you in a dance of words. My words are simple, yet they will pull you closer, or make you run far away.
