Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2010 im Fachbereich Kulturwissenschaften - Allgemeines und Begriffe, Note: 1, Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt (Kulturwissenschaft), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die vorliegende Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit dem sozialen (Alltags)Phänomen Konflikt. Anfänglich soll über die begriffliche Hinwendung zur Thematik ein Einstieg in das Thema Konflikte geschaffen werden und die unterschiedlichen Arten von Konflikte aufgezeigt werden. Ziel ist es nach einer kurzen Einführung, die zum verbesserten Verständnis der Konfliktthematik beitragen soll, einen konkreten Konflikt zu bearbeiten. Für die Analyse wird das Thema Abtreibung bearbeitet. Zur Wahl des konkreten Beispiels ist zu sagen, dass diese hauptsächlich in der Aktualität und beständigen Relevanz dieser Thematik begründet liegt. Weitere Beweggründe für die Wahl der Thematik sind meine eigene Weiblichkeit und damit die Fragestellung nach weiblicher Selbstbestimmung. Außerdem stellt das Thema einen Grenzfall zwischen Ethik und Moral dar, der jede Diskussion verkompliziert. Des Weiteren steht die Verflechtung der katholischen Kirche mit dem Themenkomplex Abtreibung in einem engen Zusammenhang, wodurch weitere moralische Aspekte, die hauptsächlich aus Skandalen und Standpunkten seitens der katholischen Kirche resultieren, Relevanz erhalten. Diese Themen stellen interessante und schwierig zu lösende Aspekte dar, wodurch eine Konzentration auf die wesentlichen Determinanten der Diskussion im Sinne der Länge der Arbeit entwickelt werden soll. Folglich soll die kommende Analyse die Frage nach den Gründen für die Ablehnung der Thematik und eben für ihre Befürwortung stellen, wobei versucht werden soll für keine Position Partei zu beziehen, sondern die Anführung soll vielmehr der Gegenüberstellung der Argumentationen der Konfliktparteien dienen und weniger eine Standtpunktnahme meinerseits sein. Des Weiteren sollen, im Rahmen meiner Kompetenz zur Thematik, wobei sich dieser Konflikt aufgrund der Verflechtung von kulturellen, ethnischen und demographischen Problemen als besonders schwierig herausstellt, mögliche Lösungsvorschläge gebracht werden. Dabei wird darauf hingewiesen, dass diese als denkbare Lösungsvorschläge zu sehen sind und die Kompliziertheit der Situation dabei nicht außer Acht gelassen werden darf. In Bezug auf die Konfliktanalyse soll der von Wasmuth gegebene und im Unterricht bereits bearbeitete Analysebogen verwendet werden, da dieser eine geeignete Grundlage für die Betrachtung politischer Konflikte darstellt, zu welchen die Abtreibung auch aufgrund der notwendigen verfassungsrechtlichen Regelung zählt.
