Nach dem Ende der DDR stellte sich wie in anderen Bereichen staatlicher Machtausübung auch im Hinblick auf die SED-Justiz die Frage nach der Ahndung individueller strafrechtlicher Schuld der Entscheidungsträger. Innerhalb der Problematik, ob das Strafanwendungsrecht einer Verfolgung von DDR-Richtern und Staatsanwälten entgegensteht, erlangt der Inhalt des Schutzgutes der Rechtsbeugung entscheidende Bedeutung. Die Situation nach der Wiedervereinigung nimmt diese Arbeit zum Anlaß, überkommene Ansichten zum Rechtsgut der Rechtsbeugung kritisch zu überdenken. Vor allem wird der Schutz der subjektiven Rechte des Einzelnen als eine Komponente dieses Schutzgutes in den Mittelpunkt gerückt.

The first lasting schism in Christendom was that between Monophysite and orthodox Christianity. This well-established, integrated study examines the social historical background to this significant two hundred year period from the council of Ephesus in 431 to the expulsion of the Byzantines from the Monophysite provinces.
