Innovations And Artificial Intelligence Along The Energy Industry Value Chain Taking Into Account Data Security And Data Protection written by Heinz-Adalbert Krebs and has been published by BoD – Books on Demand this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2022-01-01 with Law categories.

The energy industry worldwide is facing one of the most profound changes in its history, which will be accompanied by breakthrough innovations and the exponentially evolving use of artificial intelligence in business processes. In addition to the use of artificial intelligence and AI-supported unmanned systems (on land, at sea and in the air), distributed-ledger-technologies, extended reality and 3D-print based on cyber-physical systems and the Internet of Things, as well as process mining, robotic process automation, data science and cloud computing, for example, will not only decisively shape a sustainable energy supply system in the future, but also accelerate the transformation to energy industry 4.0. At the same time, the increasingly strong networking (smart grid, smart meter, smart home, smart city) of the energy industry and its environment is associated with a growing risk potential, which must be expanded in the future as part of a high-quality cyber resilience, in particular through the use of artificial intelligence. Without the development and use of innovations and artificial intelligence in the context of increasingly digitized business processes, there is a risk that neither the energy transition can be successfully implemented nor climate change combated. In addition to the fundamentals of the classic, primarily analog energy industry, the publication addresses the possible paradigm shift that will be characterized by innovations, disruptive technologies and digital business models in the energy industry.

Prisoners Of A Digital World written by Marcel-André Abraham and has been published by Universitätsverlag Göttingen this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2023 with categories.

In the digital age, surveillance is becoming increasingly pervasive through the growing presence of big data, electronic devices and wireless technologies. Simultaneously, a rising number of individuals is highly dependent on social media and deeply immersed in virtual spaces – with visible effects on their psyche, perception, and ability to communicate. This thesis examines popular surveillance theories discussed within the academic field of surveillance studies and attempts to integrate them into a coherent framework to analyse surveillance in the digital age and its impact on individuals. The main part applies this framework to three contemporary digital dystopias which are by no means just plain and farfetched novels. Already mirroring our reality to some extent, they can be seen as premonitions of what could potentially happen if humankind decided to give up privacy for convenience, attention-seeking, self-presentation, and the ideals of total interconnection and transparency propagated by tech companies.

Big Data Und Der Digitale Ungehorsam written by Eric Mülling and has been published by Springer-Verlag this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-11-20 with Political Science categories.

Framing Big Data written by Maria Cristina Paganoni and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019-07-03 with Language Arts & Disciplines categories.

This book addresses big data as a socio-technical construct with huge potential for innovation in key sectors such as healthcare, government and business. Big data and its increasingly widespread use in such influential spheres can generate ethically controversial decisions, including questions surrounding privacy, consent and accountability. This book attempts to unpack the epistemological implications of the term ‘big data’, as well as the opportunities and responsibilities which come with it. The author analyses the linguistic texture of the big data narrative in the news media, in healthcare and in EU law on data protection, in order to contribute to its understanding from the critical perspective of language studies. The result is a study which will be of interest to students and scholars working in the digital humanities, corpus linguistics, and discourse studies.
