Im Jahre 1976 sorgte ein Buch über eine versunkene Stadt im Dschungel des Amazonas weltweit für Aufsehen! Sein Titel "Die Chronik von Akakor" von Karl Brugger. In diesem Buch hat der Autor die Ausführungen des angeblichen Indianerhäuptlings der Ugha Mongulala, Tatunca Nara festgehalten. Brugger führte mit ihm ausführliche Gespräche, die er später wortgetreu niederschrieb. Die Geschichte, welche sich ihm bot, war fantastisch wie unglaublich zugleich! Man beschäftigte sich auch auf wissenschaftlicher Seite mit der Geschichte. Und andere Journalisten versuchten der Person um Tatunca Nara auf den Grund zu gehen. Ungewöhnlich schnell verlautbarte man, dass die Chronik von Akakor nicht mehr als ein fantastisches Märchen sei und Tatunca Nara ein Hochstapler. Man versuchte ihm sogar drei Morde an Touristen anzuhängen, obwohl es noch nicht einmal die dazugehörigen Leichen gab! Tatunca Nara beteuert bis heute, nichts mit dem Verschwinden der Leute zu tun zu haben, und dass er diese Leute nicht kennt. Nach eingehender Beschäftigung mit der Geschichte rund um die Chronik von Akakor komme ich zu dem Schluss, dass es bei der Widerlegung der Geschichte um Akakor, sowie der Enttarnung des Tatunca Nara, einige Widersprüche gibt. Sie lassen vermuten, dass bei der Chronik von Akakor etwas im ganz großen Stil vertuscht und in der Öffentlichkeit unmöglich gemacht wurde. Zu viele Details wiesen Parallelen zu anderen unliebsamen Geschichten auf, die man aus der Weltgeschichte streichen wollte. Am 1. Januar 1984 wurde Karl Brugger in Rio de Janeiro von einer bis heute unbekannten Person auf offener Straße erschossen. Offiziell wurde dieser Mord als Raubmord deklariert, obwohl Karl Brugger dabei nicht ausgeraubt wurde. Auch diesen Mord versuchte man vergeblich Tatunca Nara anzuhängen. Einen Tag nach dem Mord wollte Karl Brugger zurück nach Deutschland fliegen, um ein neues Buch zu veröffentlichen. Wollte man dies manchmal verhindern? Nachdem der Autor mit seinen beiden zurückliegenden Büchern "Apollo 20 - Auf der Suche nach dem ersten Licht" und "The Redsun on the Horizon" zwei Achtungserfolge erzielte, scheint er sich mit diesem neuen Werk dem Genre des investigativen Journalismus' verschrieben zu haben. Auch in "Akakor und die Zeit des Erwachens" brilliert der Autor durch neue Erkenntnisse und eine ausgefeilte analytische Denkweise. Mit seinen berechtigten und zum Teil kontroversen Fragen regt er den Leser auf jeden Fall zum Nachdenken an.
