Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2015 im Fachbereich Geschichte Europas - Mittelalter, Frühe Neuzeit, Note: 3,0, Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen (Historisches Institut), Veranstaltung: Adel in der Frühen Neuzeit, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In der heutigen Zeit bietet, zumindest in Nordrhein-Westfalen, die Schule ihren Schülerinnen und Schülern die Gelegenheit, ihren Horizont durch Reisen zu erweitern. Es geht darum neue Kulturkreise kennenzulernen, neue Orientierungen zu finden und schließlich auch neue Kontakte zu knüpfen. Auch in der Frühen Neuzeit bot sich eine solche Möglichkeit, wobei sich hier jedoch nur dem Kreis der adligen jungen Männern diese Art von Bildung auftat. Nicht nur die ersten Entdeckungsreisen begannen, sondern auch die ersten Züge einer humanistischen Bildungsreform erschienen im europäischen Bildungstum. Dadurch entstand die Idee der Bildungsreise. Bei dieser reichte es dem jungen Nachwuchs nicht einfach nur die Welt aus Erzählungen zu verstehen. Es war ihnen wichtig, diese auch selbst zu erleben. Der junge Adel trat nach seiner heimischen Ausbildung die Reise durch Europa an. Jedoch war die Kavalierstour von den jeweils spezifischen adligen Normen der Elternhäuser sowie den jeweiligen Gastgebern geprägt. Es stellt sich die Frage, inwiefern diese Kavalierstouren Bildungsreisen darstellten oder vielleicht doch eher dem Vergnügen des einzelnen Adeligen dienten. In den überliferten Rechnungen jedenfalls tauchen Posten auf, die eine solche Fragestellung rechtfertigen.
