Es besteht das offenkundige Desiderat einer interdisziplinären Diskussion moralpsychologischer Themen in ethischer Perspektive. Mit wenigen Ausnahmen (vorrangig im englischsprachigen Raum) gibt es hierzu keine neueren übergreifenden fachwissenschaftlichen Veröffentlichungen. Die projektierte Publikation will auf dieses Desiderat antworten und einen Beitrag zur moralpsychologischen Forschung leisten, indem sie transdisziplinär normative und empirische Grundlagenfragen mit praktischen Themen angewandter Moralpsychologie verbindet. Die Publikation nimmt Ausgang bei der im WS 2012/13 organisierte Vortragsreihe "(Ethische) Perspektiven der Moralpsychologie" und baut das Thema als eigenständige Konzeption aus und vertieft es. Das systematisch ausgerichtete Buch soll eine Einführung und weiterführende Impulse für das Forschungsfeld der Moralpsychologie geben und dieses in seiner ethischen Relevanz reflektieren. Dazu werden Beiträge zu zentralen moralpsychologischen und darauf bezogenen ethischen Themenfeldern zusammengeführt.
