Inhaltsangabe:Einleitung: Die günstige, zugleich aber komplizierte, geopolitische Lage der Ukraine bestimmt die bilaterale Zusammenarbeit zwischen Kiew und Brüssel. Dabei kommt dem Umstand, dass das osteuropäische Land direkt an die Russische Föderation grenzt, keine geringe Bedeutung zu. Zwar gehört rein offiziell die multivektorale Schaukelpolitik im östlichen EU-Nachbarland der Vergangenheit an, jedoch ist die Durchsetzung eines einheitlichen außenpolitischen Kurses nicht unproblematisch. Die vorliegende wissenschaftliche Arbeit widmet sich somit dem Thema Die Ukraine und die Europäische Union: Stand und Perspektiven bilateraler Beziehungen . Da die Bandbreite bilateraler Zusammenarbeit sehr groß ist, war eine Einschränkung auf einige Themenbereiche nötig. Die Gliederung der Hausarbeit umfasst sechs Kapitel. Zunächst wird einleitend auf die vertragsrechtlichen Grundlagen sowie den institutionellen Rahmen der EU-Ukraine-Beziehungen eingegangen. Des Weiteren werden die Folgen der Verschiebung der EU-Außengrenze Richtung Osten unter besonderer Berücksichtigung der Erweiterung des Schengen-Raums für die Bevölkerung auf beiden Seiten dargestellt. Anschließend wird geprüft, unter welchen Bedingungen der Ukraine die Mitgliedschaftsperspektive in der EU gewährt werden kann. Dabei wird auch der Frage nachgegangen, welche Folgen die Aufnahme des größten rein europäischen Landes in den Staatenverbund haben könnte und wie die EU-europäische und ukrainische Öffentlichkeit einer EU-Mitgliedschaft entgegensieht. Im nächsten Kapitel werden externe Einflussfaktoren auf die Beziehungen zwischen Kiew und Brüssel analysiert, wie Russlands Rolle, eine mögliche Integration in den Nordatlantikpakt sowie der bereits erfolgte Beitritt der Ukraine in die Welthandelsorganisation. Folgend wird eine Untersuchung des Wirtschafts-standortes Ukraine vorgenommen, in welcher der Schwerpunkt in den Bedingungen für internationale Investitionstätigkeit sowie den wirtschaftlichen Verflechtungen des osteuropäischen Landes mit der EU besteht. Eigene Überlegungen zur Zugehörigkeit der Ukraine zu Europa, dessen Bestandteil auch das supranationale Staatengebilde ist, schließen den Hauptteil der Arbeit ab. In den darauf folgenden Anhängen werden außer den wichtigsten chronologischen Etappen in den bilateralen Beziehungen auch repräsentative Meinungsumfragen sowie statistische Daten in tabellarischer und graphischer Form dargestellt. HauptbeschreibungThe current relationship between the Nordic countries and the European Union appears complex and confusing. Although Denmark, in 1973, and Sweden and Finland, in 1995, joined the European Union, the entry of Norway into the Union was rejected in the plebiscites of 1972 and 1994. Furthermore, Nordic EU members enjoy permanent exceptions to their integration into the EU: Denmark and Sweden, like the U.K., have declined to become part of the monetary union. Finland is essentially the only Nordic country that entered the EU without substantial exceptions. A membership bid from Iceland was unthinkable; after the fi nancial crisis - which is not the topic of this book - Iceland applied for membership in 2010 and has been in discussions with the European Commission ever since. In other words: the European Union divides Nordic societies, which has resulted in a series of national exceptions to the integration process. Taken together, these exceptions have created an integration process whose overall geometry is contradictory and paradoxical. Considering this melange, this book will discuss the actual state of Nordic integration into the EU from many different perspectives and illuminate future developments in the fi eld of integration. Where is the North relative to Europe today? How can the geometry of Northern Europe's integration, developed over a long time, be characterised? What are the challenges that threaten further development of Nordic-European relationships?

Interdisciplinarity is significant in the age of globalization and digitalization. It creates new opportunities through comparison and analysis of different findings and methods. Furthermore, it expands the boundaries of each discipline: each topic or phenomenon can be viewed under a whole new light. Instead of conventional or traditional methods, interdisciplinary cooperation can lead to innovative approaches that can contribute to the value of each discipline involved. It also requires respect and recognition between disciplines: their independent positions could be questioned or justified based on their interrelationship. Moreover, interdisciplinary work brings together diverse experts who cooperate and share their findings with each other. In this sense, interdisciplinarity can be seen as a dialogue between disciplines. In this complex interaction, a 'third' field may emerge that transcends the boundaries of each independent discipline. Since relatively young Translation Studies has long been influenced by other disciplines, its boundaries could be defined through interdisciplinarity. In this book, numerous translation scholars engage with the relationship between translation and other disciplines. Translation here is not only to be understood as a transmission of texts, but in a broader sense, as denoting a transformation of different phenomena that could be studied both as a product and as a process.
