By the use of this study, the researcher can come up with an idea how helpful diet is in developing one's academic performance considering the present disorder of the child. In addition, this study also aims to know what is the best diet that can help improve the academic performance of pupils with ASD. Dietary Plan is a basic requirement for the child with autism to have a normal life and an appropriate dietary plan can help reduce the symptoms of various mental disorders. This study determined the effects of diet on the academic performance of a child with autism spectrum disorder in Ozamiz Central Elementary School, Division of Ozamiz City during the school year 2020-2021. This study utilized a pre-experimental research design for a single case. The child undergoes a one-month dietary therapy prepared by a registered dietician nutritionist (RDN). The instruments used are the grades in record of the subject through his teacher and interview on the part of the parent. Statistical treatments utilized are weighted mean, standard deviation and Mcnemar's test. Keywords: dietary plan, child with autism, effects on diet, academic performance, teaching skills
