This is an open access book. The term "modern educational technology" refers to the theory and practice of optimizing teaching through the design, development, utilization, management, and evaluation of instructional processes and resources using contemporary educational theories and advanced information technology. Education and social sciences are mutually reinforcing disciplines that play a crucial role in the new social development pattern. The knowledge capacity of individuals is increasingly becoming the decisive factor for modern productivity growth. Consequently, education has emerged as a vital investment field for intellectual resource development. Investing in education yields significant benefits by transforming scientific and technological potential into tangible productivity outcomes. Ultimately, it is imperative to prioritize education and foster lifelong learning opportunities. ICMETSS 2024 will concentrate on advancing modern educational technology alongside social sciences while exploring their interrelationship to promote mutual progress.

The Second International Conference on Hybrid Learning was organized by the School of Continuing and Professional Studies of The Chinese University of Hong Kong and University of Macau in August 2009. ICHL 2009 was an inventive experience for the Hong Kong and Macau tertiary higher education. The conference aims to provide a good platform for knowledge exchange on hybrid learning by focusing on student centered education. The technique is to supplement traditional classroom learning with eLearning. The slogan is “Education leads eLearning,” not vice versa. The me- odology is that at least 30% of learning activities are done by eLearning. The outcome is for students to learn at any time at any place. eLearning can increase students’ lea- ing productivity and reduce teachers’ administration workload alike. It is a new culture for students, teachers and school administrators to adopt in the twenty-first century. The conference obtained sponsorship from Pei Hua Education Foundation Limited, City University of Hong Kong, ACM Hong Kong Section, and Hong Kong Computer Society. Hybrid learning originated from North America in 2000, and is an ongoing trend. It is not merely a simple combination of direct teaching and eLearning. It encompasses different learning strategies and important elements for teaching and learning. It - phasizes outcome-based teaching and learning, and provides an environment for knowledge learning. Students are given more opportunities to be active learners and practice practical skills such as communication, collaboration, critical thinking, cr- tivity, self-management, self-study, problem solving, analysis and numeracy.

Experimentation Matters written by Stefan H. Thomke and has been published by Harvard Business Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2003-08-05 with Business & Economics categories.

Every company's ability to innovate depends on a process of experimentation whereby new products and services are created and existing ones improved. But the cost of experimentation is limiting. New technologies--including computer modeling and simulation--promise to lift that constraint by changing the economics of experimentation. They amplify the impact of learning, creating the potential for higher R&D performance and innovation and new ways of creating value for customers. Stefan H. Thomke argues that to unlock such potential, companies must not only understand the power of new technologies for experimentation, but also fundamentally change their processes, organization, and management of innovation. He shows why experimentation is so critical to innovation, explains the impact of new technologies, and outlines what managers must do to integrate them successfully.
