Have you noticed that artificial intelligence is the hot topic of the moment? Yet, for over a decade, this reality has radically changed our lives, well hidden in our new virtually digital reality. After sharing her vision of "Presence" with a 1st book in the context of business and marketing to improve customer and employee relations in the digital reality, this 2nd book expresses the same desire to preserve the relational quality between us. A decade on, we need to have an urgent conversation about the very essence of humanity in a world dominated by technology. Her vision of digital sovereignty presents itself as an accessible solution that must guide the evolution of the artificial intelligence race and combat unbridled digital capitalism by bringing the digital imperialists to heel. It's not a plea for or against artificial intelligence. It's a plea in favor of the urgent need to take a collective stand in order to build a future in human dignity with these intelligent machines that are invading us under the pretext of "natural" evolution. To act, we need to understand. Without pretension, but with lucidity, you are invited to discover the path and legacy of digital colonialism, and even the domination of digital emperors, in order to grasp the full extent of its impact on our reality, which is anything but virtual. Popularized, accessible explanations of the issues at stake, so as to fully grasp this universe. A critical and constructive look at how we can hold the reins of this unbridled wild horse that is artificial intelligence. Whether you're a private citizen, a worker, a company director, a civil servant, a member of parliament, etc., everyone is concerned, without exception. Yes, even you, especially those who don't feel concerned. This is a call for collective mobilization.

China S Digital Nationalism written by Florian Schneider and has been published by Oxford University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-08-16 with Political Science categories.
Nationalism, in China as much as elsewhere, is today adopted, filtered, transformed, enhanced, and accelerated through digital networks. And as we have increasingly seen, nationalism in digital spheres interacts in complicated ways with nationalism "on the ground". If we are to understand the social and political complexities of the twenty-first century, we need to ask: what happens to nationalism when it goes digital? In China's Digital Nationalism, Florian Schneider explores the issue by looking at digital China first hand, exploring what search engines, online encyclopedias, websites, hyperlink networks, and social media can tell us about the way that different actors construct and manage a crucial topic in contemporary Chinese politics: the protracted historical relationship with neighbouring Japan. Using two cases, the infamous Nanjing Massacre of 1937 and the ongoing disputes over islands in the East China Sea, Schneider shows how various stakeholders in China construct networks and deploy power to shape nationalism for their own ends. These dynamics provide crucial lessons on how nation states adapt to the shifting terrain of the digital age and highlight how digital nationalism is today an emergent property of complex communication networks.

In a world pulsing with digital heartbeats, where fortunes rise and fall with the click of a button, “GATSBY” emerges as a retelling of a timeless classic, now refracted through the prism of modernity. From the neon-lit excess of the dot-com boom to the shadowy corners of the cryptocurrency underworld, this is the tale of a new American Dream, shimmering with the mirage of digital connection. Nick Carraway, a cybersecurity analyst caught in the web of the twenty-first century’s obsessions, finds himself drawn to the enigmatic Gatsby, a man who materialized from the ether of the internet to amass a fortune as volatile as the code it’s built upon. In a world where the past is just a click away, Gatsby’s mysteries are hidden behind firewalls rather than the façade of West Egg mansions. Enter Daisy Buchanan, an icon of curated perfection, whose pixel-perfect life on social media belies the void behind her eyes—a void not even her “old money” husband, Tom, can fill with his pharmaceutical empire. And then there’s Jordan Baker, the influencer with a scandalous edge, whose every post is a high-stakes gamble. “GASTBY” is a narrative that unwinds the threads of desire and loneliness in the tapestry of the internet age, exploring what it means to truly see and be seen in an era where every moment is documented, and yet, authenticity is the rarest commodity. Dive into the neon-drenched pages of “GASTBY” where love is a meme, tragedy goes viral, and the truth is just a deepfake away. This is not just the story of one man’s obsessive pursuit of a hollow dream, but a collective portrait of a society chasing after the ephemeral, the retweeted, and the liked, only to find that some voids can’t be filled with clicks and views.

Exploring the modern category of history in relation to film theory, film textuality, and film history, Change Mummified makes a persuasive argument for the centrality of historicity to film as well as the special importance of film in historical culture. What do we make of the concern for recovering the past that is consistently manifested in so many influential modes of cinema, from Hollywood to documentary and postcolonial film? How is film related to the many modern practices that define themselves as configuring pastness in the present, such as architectural preservation, theme parks, and, above all, professional historical research? What is the relation of history in film to other media such as television and digital imaging? How does emphasizing the connection between film and modern historicity affect the theorization and historicization of film and modern media culture? Pursuing the full implications of film as cultural production, Philip Rosen reconceptualizes modern historicity as a combination of characteristic epistemological structures on the one hand, and the social imperative to regulate or manage time on the other. Emphasizing a fundamental constellation of pursuit of the real, indexical signification and the need to control time, he interrogates a spectrum of film theory and film texts. His argument refocuses the category of temporality for film and cultural theory while rethinking the importance of historicity. An original and sustained meditation on the historiographic status of cinematic signs, Change Mummified is both an intervention in film and media studies and an argument for the continuing necessity of modern historical thinking in its contradictions.

Digital Dis Information Operations written by Melissa-Ellen Dowling and has been published by Taylor & Francis this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2025-01-28 with Political Science categories.
This book offers an interdisciplinary insight into the key debates around information warfare in the digital age and argues that transnational cooperation can mitigate the threat. States and societies are increasingly vulnerable to cyber-enabled information operations. From efforts to divide nations, undermine public policy, manipulate elections, and generate social discord, malign actors use the online realm to wreak havoc on our offline lives. The book explores the digital disinformation dilemma that confronts liberal democracies, reflecting on shared socio-political challenges and solutions to contemporary information operations amongst the Five Eyes states and beyond. The work aims to generate a holistic human-centric perspective on the challenges of digital (dis)information operations through interdisciplinary insight into shared challenges and solutions to contemporary information warfare. Together, these perspectives enable us to more effectively identify opportunities to address the challenge and increase the potential to enrich international collaborative efforts to safeguard liberal democracies from threats to their information environments. This book will be of much interest to students of information warfare, intelligence studies, foreign policy and International Relations. Digital Currencies And Public Law written by Andrew Dahdal and has been published by Taylor & Francis this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2024-09-30 with Law categories.
This book supports the deeper engagement of public lawyers in digital currency developments which threaten dramatic changes in the relationship between individuals and government authorities. No contemporary issue is more widely acknowledged and less understood than that of digital currencies. The voice of constitutional scholars, however, is crucially missing from prevailing digital money discourses. Private law scholars are grappling with the legal questions raised by digital currency models in property and contract. Public law scholars, by contrast, have yet to appreciate the significance of the moment. The challenge of understanding the technical dimensions of digital money innovations has obscured the potential constitutional revolution digital currencies represent. This book proceeds from the proposition that ‘money’ is best conceived as a constitutional phenomenon. When seen as such, it becomes clear that changes in the nature of money represent changes in political and constitutional arrangements. Explaining how, and in what ways, those changes will take place is the primary focus of this book. Through an examination of historical episodes where the nature of money has been linked to renewed constitutional settlements, this book distils a core set of principles linking aspects of monetary innovation such as technical control of the money supply to constitutional positions such as executive fiscal accountability. From these principles, a conceptual framework is proposed that translates the specific attributes of digital currency proposals into the language of constitutional dynamics. The book will be of interest to students, academics and practitioners with an interest in the law of digital currencies, constitutional law and politics.
