What could be a more compelling read than a book that explains the greatest mysteries known to man in one fell swoop. Who is God? What happens after we die? What the heck is quantum entanglement? Why did Dolly’s braces disappear in the movie "Moonraker?" Our reality is not what it appears to be. The latest physics experiments demonstrate that an objective reality doesn’t exist. And no one truly knows what consciousness is or where the mind resides. Strange interconnectedness, anomalous events, and changing histories confound even the most open-minded of scientists. No single theory seems to be able to explain it all. Until now.

The pandemic has significantly impacted people's engagement with the administrative justice system (AJS). As we navigate the post-pandemic era, the siloed landscape of tribunals, ombuds, advice services and NGOs face the challenge of maintaining trust in the justice system's fairness, efficacy and inclusivity. Examining the journeys individuals undertake to seek justice in housing and special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), this book sheds light on how these institutions adapted to remote service provision. Written by key names in the field, this important contribution uncovers valuable insights for digitalization efforts and offers concrete recommendations for improving pathways to justice.

Faith Physics written by Nathan V. Hoffman and has been published by Universal-Publishers this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-03-15 with Philosophy categories.

FFaith Physics is a new Theory of Everything (ToE) combining ancient spiritual wisdom and modern quantum physics findings to deliver a belief system that is both intellectually sound and spiritually satisfying. It maintains an ineffable Supreme Consciousness is the catalyst of all material creation as a ‘great thought’ through pure white light in zero-point morphogenetic quantum fields. Faith Physics claims that consciousness is the cornerstone of base reality existing in a timeless state of now. By using the natural cause-and-effect laws of classical physics, the uncertainty principle of quantum mechanics, and dark matter/energy, Faith Physics posits pure consciousness manifests physical creation in a remarkable myriad of forms. In the wave/particle duality paradigm revealed by quantum mechanics, conscious observation transforms light energy into particulate physical matter as condensed or frozen light in accordance with Albert Einstein’s famous E=mc2 equation. Faith Physics teaches us we exist and thrive in a unified participatory universe emanating from an eternal Supreme Consciousness source, and we are not just a product of random-chance evolution. In the 21st century, religion and science are reaching an enlightened consensus that pure metaphysical consciousness is perpetually painting a picture on the space-time continuum canvas depicting a miraculous cycle of physical creation, entropy, and cosmic rebirth.

In a 1951 lecture Turing, Alan (1951), Turing argued, "It seems probable that once the machine thinking method had started, it would not take long to outstrip our feeble powers. There would be no question of the machines dying, and they would be able to converse with each other to sharpen their wits. At some stage therefore we should have to expect the machines to take control, in the way that is mentioned in Samuel Butler's Erewhon." Also in a lecture broadcast on the BBC (Turing, Alan 1951). He expressed the opinion: "If a machine can think, it might think more intelligently than we do, and then where should we be? Even if we could keep the machines in a subservient position, for instance by turning off the power at strategic moments, we should, as a species, feel greatly humbled. . . . This new danger. . . is certainly something which can give us anxiety." as interpreted by Seth Baum. Hubert Dreyfus writes: "In general, by accepting the fundamental assumptions that the nervous system is part of the physical world and that all physical processes can be described in a mathematical formalism which can, in turn, be manipulated by a digital computer, one can arrive at the strong claim that the behavior which results from human 'information processing,' whether directly formalizable or not, can always be indirectly reproduced on a digital machine." (Dreyfus 1972). John Searle writes: "Could a man-made machine think? Assuming it possible produce artificially a machine with a nervous system, the answer to the question seems to be obviously; yes ... Could a digital computer think? If by 'digital computer' you mean anything at all that has a level of description where it can be correctly described as the instantiation of a computer program, then again the answer is, of course, yes, since we are the instantiations of any number of computer programs, and we can think." (Searle 1980).

This book provides a comprehensive introduction to the economics of the business of maritime transport. It provides an economic explanation of four aspects of maritime transport, namely, the demand, the supply, the market and the strategy. The book first explains why seaborne trade happens and what its development trends are; it then analyses the main features of shipping supply and how various shipping markets function; the book finally addresses the critical strategic issues of the shipping business. The full range of different types of shipping are covered throughout the chapters and cases. The book combines the basic principles of maritime transport with the modern shipping business and the latest technological developments, particularly in the area of digital disruption. The ideas and explanations are supported and evidenced by practical examples and more than 160 tables and figures. The questions posed by the book are similar to those that would be asked by the students in their learning process or the professionals in the business environment, with the answers concentrating on the reasons for what has happened and will happen in the future rather than merely fact-telling or any specific forecast. The book is most suited for students of shipping-related disciplines, and is also a valuable reference for maritime professionals.

Avatar. Inception. Jurassic Park. Lord of the Rings. Ratatouille. Not only are these some of the highest-grossing films of all time, they are also prime examples of how digital visual effects have transformed Hollywood filmmaking. Some critics, however, fear that this digital revolution marks a radical break with cinematic tradition, heralding the death of serious realistic movies in favor of computer-generated pure spectacle. Digital Visual Effects in Cinema counters this alarmist reading, by showing how digital effects–driven films should be understood as a continuation of the narrative and stylistic traditions that have defined American cinema for decades. Stephen Prince argues for an understanding of digital technologies as an expanded toolbox, available to enhance both realist films and cinematic fantasies. He offers a detailed exploration of each of these tools, from lighting technologies to image capture to stereoscopic 3D. Integrating aesthetic, historical, and theoretical analyses of digital visual effects, Digital Visual Effects in Cinema is an essential guide for understanding movie-making today.

What if the treasure you seek has been with you all along? In our age of endless self-help books and quick fixes, the ancient Grail legends offer something profoundly different: a timeless map for authentic transformation that honors both the necessity of the journey and the mystery of what we ultimately discover. The New Quest for the Grail reveals how these medieval stories encode universal patterns of personal growth that remain as relevant today as they were nearly a millennium ago. Unlike popularized versions of the Grail myth, this book grounds its insights in contemporary psychology, neuroscience, and wisdom traditions while maintaining the depth and mystery that make these stories enduringly powerful. You'll discover how to: Recognize the authentic calls to transformation amid modern life's distractions Navigate the inevitable "wasteland" periods with resilience and meaning Ask the healing questions that catalyze genuine breakthrough Integrate revelatory experiences into lasting change Bring your unique gifts into meaningful expression Live your quest every day through practical approaches that transform ordinary activities into opportunities for growth This isn't another self-improvement manual promising easy answers. Instead, it's a thorough yet accessible exploration of how ancient wisdom illuminates the spiraling path of genuine development- complete with its challenges, revelations, and paradoxes. The book traces the hero's journey from initial call through wasteland navigation, breakthrough moments, and ultimate integration. But like the original legends, it reveals that the quest itself transforms: what begins as desperate seeking gradually becomes recognition of what has always been present. Drawing from depth psychology, contemplative traditions, and modern thought on transformation, this work offers both conceptual understanding and practical guidance. Each chapter includes reflection questions and exercises that invite direct engagement rather than merely intellectual comprehension. Whether you're: Feeling called to something more meaningful than conventional success Navigating a challenging life transition or personal crisis Seeking to integrate spiritual insights with psychological understanding Ready to contribute your authentic gifts to our world's healing Curious about how ancient stories illuminate contemporary experience This book provides orientation for life's territory that often remains confusing or overwhelming when navigated without adequate maps. The Grail's deepest secret isn't that it's difficult to find, but that it reveals itself not as distant prize to be captured but as presence that has never been absent- gradually recognized through the very seeking that sometimes obscures yet ultimately discloses what we most deeply are. Your Quest awaits.
