Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2020 im Fachbereich Didaktik - Geschichte, Note: 1,7, Christian-Albrechts-Universität Kiel, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Trotz der vielversprechenden Möglichkeiten kommen digitale Medien noch immer relativ unregelmäßig im Schulunterricht zum Einsatz - weil die (fach-) didaktischen Konzepte der schnellen Weiterentwicklung der Digitalität hinterherhinken. Aus diesem Grund widmet sich diese Arbeit der digitalen Lehre im Schulunterricht, um die Anforderungen einer aktuellen digitalen Lehre darzustellen. Dabei werden digitale Unterrichtsmöglichkeiten am Beispiel der modernen Technologie der Augmented Reality (AR) präsentiert. Sich dabei auf das Unterrichtsfach Geschichte zu beschränken, bietet sich an, da Geschichte auch schon vor dem digitalen Wandel ein „Medienfach“ war und sich gut dafür eignet, die Gesellschaft auf den Umgang mit dem neuen Leitmedium Digitalität in der kommenden Epoche der „Digitalen Kultur“ vorzubereiten. Was genau darunter zu verstehen ist, wird sich in den kommenden Kapiteln zeigen. Denn wie dieser einleitende Kommentar gezeigt hat, gilt es, einige wesentliche Aspekte zu erörtern, bevor die Unterrichtsmöglichkeiten mit AR untersucht werden können. Daher wird im Folgenden zuerst die digitale Lehre im Geschichtsunterricht behandelt, wobei zuerst eine Einführung in den Forschungsstand zur digitalen Lehre gegeben wird und danach das Hauptziel des Unterrichtsfaches sowie die Frage nach einer historischen Medienkompetenz geklärt werden sollen. Es schließt sich eine Vorstellung der Technologie der Augmented Reality an, bevor deren Chancen und Risiken für den Geschichtsunterricht untersucht werden.

Constructing Representations to Learn in Science Current research into student learning in science has shifted attention from the traditional cognitivist perspectives of conceptual change to socio-cultural and semiotic perspectives that characterize learning in terms of induction into disciplinary literacy practices. This book builds on recent interest in the role of representations in learning to argue for a pedagogical practice based on students actively generating and exploring representations. The book describes a sustained inquiry in which the authors worked with primary and secondary teachers of science, on key topics identified as problematic in the research literature. Data from classroom video, teacher interviews and student artifacts were used to develop and validate a set of pedagogical principles and explore student learning and teacher change issues. The authors argue the theoretical and practical case for a representational focus. The pedagogical approach is illustrated and explored in terms of the role of representation to support quality student learning in science. Separate chapters address the implications of this perspective and practice for structuring sequences around different concepts, reasoning and inquiry in science, models and model based reasoning, the nature of concepts and learning, teacher change, and assessment. The authors argue that this representational focus leads to significantly enhanced student learning, and has the effect of offering new and productive perspectives and approaches for a number of contemporary strands of thinking in science education including conceptual change, inquiry, scientific literacy, and a focus on the epistemic nature of science.

Many teens today who use the Internet are actively involved in participatory cultures—joining online communities (Facebook, message boards, game clans), producing creative work in new forms (digital sampling, modding, fan videomaking, fan fiction), working in teams to complete tasks and develop new knowledge (as in Wikipedia), and shaping the flow of media (as in blogging or podcasting). A growing body of scholarship suggests potential benefits of these activities, including opportunities for peer-to-peer learning, development of skills useful in the modern workplace, and a more empowered conception of citizenship. Virtual exchange refers to education programmes in which constructive communication and interaction takes place between individuals or groups from different cultural backgrounds with the support of educators or facilitators. Evaluating and Upscaling Telecollaborative Teacher Education (EVALUATE, http://www.evaluateproject.eu/) was a European policy experimentation financed by Erasmus+ which studied the impact of a telecollaborative model of virtual exchange on student teachers. Between 2017-2018, the project consortium trained teacher trainers and organised virtual exchanges which involved over 1,000 student teachers at initial teacher education institutions. This entailed students interacting and collaborating with partner classes from other countries as an integral part of one of their courses. The research team then analysed the learning gains from these exchanges using qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. They also worked with representatives from European ministries of education to understand how virtual exchange could be upscaled in teacher education across Europe. This publication presents the findings of the EVALUATE experimentation and its implications for the education of future teachers. The study found that engaging student teachers in structured online intercultural collaboration as part of their formal learning can contribute to the development of their digital-pedagogical, intercultural, and foreign language competences. It can also lead to innovation and international learning in the education of future teachers.
