(Con prefazione e postfazione di Andrea Canevaro e Loretta Lega) La finalità inclusiva di una società moderna ed avanzata sembra un’acquisizione in certo senso scontata. L’inserimento di soggetti e gruppi sociali genera stabilità, comunicazione, relazione, intensificazione degli scambi, rilevanti sotto il profilo dell’ordine sociale e del mercato. In realtà ancora, l’obiettivo non sembra essere pienamente raggiunto, il rischio di esclusione sociale di quote rilevante di popolazione, non solo immigrata, rimane rilevante. Decisivo per gli effetti prolungati che genera è il ruolo della scuola, da quella di base a quella superiore. Nonostante i tanti interventi, normativi, organizzativi, professionali realizzati i deficit di inclusione sociale si ripresentano in maniera costante, a volte in un contesto di forte deresponsabilizzazione sia delle istituzioni locali che delle professionalità impegnate nel lavoro docente e nei servizi sociali. Una ulteriore diagnosi della situazione, come quella offerta da questo volume, costituisce una rinnovata occasione di riflessione e di rinnovata progettazione educativa e sociale.
