Resumen: Este proyecto ha sido realizado en la empresa Kosta Azul en el Departamento de logística, el cual fue enfocado en diseñar un sistema que integre los procesos de planeación y distribución con el fin de lograr el cumplimiento de los niveles óptimos de inventarios en las tiendas de la compañía. Luego de recolectar y analizar la información se pudo inferir que no existía coordinación alguna entre las políticas comerciales, la administración del inventario, la planeación de la producción y la distribución de producto terminado, lo cual se veía reflejado en los bajos índices de nivel de servicio y en elevados volúmenes de inventario. Por esto se diseña un modelo logístico que integre todos los procesos mencionados anteriormente con el objetivo principal de cumplir con los niveles de inventario esperados en los puntos de venta. También se pretende plantear una visión sistémica que permita el cumplimiento de objetivos globales y procesos más esbeltos con la finalidad de lograr la disminución de los niveles de inventario globales de la compañía.
