Dissolving Pain written by Les Fehmi and has been published by Shambhala Publications this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2010-09-14 with Health & Fitness categories.

For four decades, Dr. Les Fehmi has been training people to regulate their own brainwave patterns to improve their mental, emotional, and physical health. His new book focuses on the treatment of pain, and it is based on the premise that although pain is perceived to exist in a particular part of the body, pain actually arises in the brain. Drawing on existing scientific research and on decades of clinical experience, he offers brain-training exercises that quiet the pain signal in the brain. The exercises involve altering the way we pay attention to pain, cultivating what Fehmi calls Open-Focus Attention: a relaxed form of awareness that changes the neural blood flow and increases alpha brainwave activity (associated with reduced stress and beneficial hormonal changes). These exercises are effective in the treatment of many forms of pain including back, shoulder, neck, and joint pain; headaches; muscle pain and tension; and pain from traumatic injury. Included with the book is a 60-minute program that guides listeners through the Open-Focus exercises to help them to become pain free.

How To Dissolve Childhood Pain written by Sarah King and has been published by Xlibris Corporation this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-05-30 with Psychology categories.

Most problematic situations that people face throughout their lives are directly linked to childhood experiences. All experiences that confront a child will have some form of positive or negative impact on that childs life well into adulthood. This is because of a thing called childhood conditioning. What is learnt in childhood is heavily relied upon by people throughout their adulthood. The issue with childhood conditioning however, is that many children are exposed to some form of emotional and psychological trauma. This trauma, if left unattended, can be stored in the subconscious mind as emotional pain. Regardless of age and experience, adults can and typically do, go about their lives carrying around unresolved emotional pain. How to Dissolve Childhood Pain discusses the dynamics of childhood condition and how it shapes adulthood beliefs. It explains why people subconsciously attract situations into their lives that mirror past traumatic childhood events. Most of all, it introduces ways to heal unresolved childhood pain in a simplistic yet effective manner.

The Open Focus Brain written by Les Fehmi and has been published by Shambhala Publications this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2008-12-16 with Health & Fitness categories.

This breakthrough book presents a disarmingly simple idea: The way we pay attention in daily life can play a critical role in our health and well-being. According to Dr. Les Fehmi, a clinical psychologist and researcher, many of us have become stuck in "narrow-focus attention": a tense, constricted, survival mode of attention that holds us in a state of chronic stress—and which lies at the root of common ailments including anxiety, depression, ADD, stress-related migraines, and more. To improve these conditions, Dr. Fehmi explains that we must learn to return to a relaxed, diffuse, and creative form of attention, which he calls "Open Focus." This highly readable and empowering book offers straightforward explanations and simple exercises on how to shift into a more calm, open style of attention that reduces stress, improves health, and enhances performance. The Open-Focus Brain features eight essential attention exercises for improving health. Dr. Fehmi writes, "Everyone has the ability to heal their nervous systems, to dissolve their pain, to slow down and yet accomplish more, to experience the deeper side of life—in short, to change their lives for the better dramatically." At last readers can learn the techniques that Dr. Fehmi has offered to thousands of clients—the same drug-free, safe, and effective techniques that have led to remarkable and long-lasting results. The Open-Focus Brain offers readers a revolutionary, drug-free way to: • alleviate depression, anxiety, and ADD • reduce stress-related chronic pain • optimize mental and physical performance The eBook includes a downloadable audio program that provides further guidance on: • essential attention exercises from the book, led by Dr. Fehmi • how to "train the brain" to reduce stress, anxiety, chronic pain, and more • safe and effective techniques used in Dr. Fehmi's clinic for decades

This book describes the method of Paradoxical Relaxation, a method initially used and studied by researchers at Stanford University in the Department of Urology for the treatment of male and female chronic pelvic pain syndromes. This method has been one of the major components of the Wise-Anderson Protocol for pelvic pain, popularly known for many years as the Stanford Protocol. Paradoxical Relaxation was designed by David Wise to assist patients to profoundly relax, who were experiencing both pain and anxiety. The strength of the method of Paradoxical Relaxation is that it addresses the microphysical and psychological events that are obstacles to profound relaxation, especially for individuals who experience anxiety and physical distress. Enclosed with the Third Edition is a recorded lesson in Paradoxical Relaxation (in two versions) on CD.

Suffering A Path Of Awakening written by Shellee Rae and has been published by Outskirts Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2009-05-13 with categories.

Suffering A Path of Awakening takes the reader on a 39-year journey of one woman's incredible life from a victim of sexual abuse, drugs, alcohol, and depression to the doors of death, into 12-step recovery, many spiritual paths and finally to full embodied awakening to Consciousness in August of 2008 with almost 11 years of sobriety. Similar to a pebble in a still lake, this book is more like a rock in a pond. Its ripples are great and they will touch the shores of many hearts almost immediately and in a profound way. Dive in wholly and feel the raw truth and vulnerability of this incredible real-life story. You can't help but to be inspired and deeply touched. This brave and heart-wrenching adventure will forever change the way you look at suffering and enlightenment. "I am fascinated by this book...! It is very moving, sad, interesting...it brings so many feelings in the way the author tells the story that "has to be told"! I couldn't put it down. I finished the book thinking this is an Awakening material that everyone, teenager or adult MUST read! I have not read any explanation of the unity of the self with the universe with such flow of energy and so graphic; I could float!" Esther Gonzalez, Graphic Artist, Orlando, FL "WOW! This is one helluva book. I think that may be what happens when one lets the words coming from the creative brain pass through the heart before getting into print. Shellee Rae manages to create a mental and emotional linkage with the reader that is very strong. About three pages into the book, the power of her words and her style, and the pervasiveness of the emotions behind them, the emotions that made the words and the style something alive and something uniquely hers, took over my mind! There are a lot of ways in which books are classified {novels, bios, how-to's, etc.} but if there is a category called, "If I can do it, so can you, don't give up, give it a try, I will help.", that is where this work belongs. It is truly inspirational!" Lou Goldberg, Boston, MA
