The Role Of Smart Technologies In Decision Making written by Eleonora Pantano and has been published by Taylor & Francis this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2022-10-20 with Business & Economics categories.

This comprehensive book examines the impact of smart technologies in consumer's behaviour from a contemporary perspective, blending marketing and retailing along with other disciplines such as psychology, media studies and sociology. Market forces and technological advancements are making the management of and strategies for innovation more prominent and essential in all functions of business, not least marketing and retailing. Frontiers of marketing are constantly pushed, requiring the development and adjustments of new theories. Prior literature on innovation in marketing has mainly focused on digital marketing strategies and consumer behaviour, while only recently introducing the notion of smart retailing in terms of smart experience and interaction. While these studies provide a basis for defining smart retailing and consumer behaviour in smart retail settings, the concept of smart consumers is still under-investigated. Thus, the smart consumer — consumers making extensive use of smart technologies in all steps of their shopping behaviour and experience of the store (both offline and online) — is emerging as a promising area for future marketing and retailing studies. The chapters in this edited volume seek to understand the effect of innovation in consumer behaviour by proposing original empirical and theoretical contributions, methods, models, tools and case studies that contribute to explain this emergent phenomenon. The chapters in this book were originally published as a special issue of the Journal of Marketing Management.

Stakeholder Management And Social Responsibility written by Ovidiu Nicolescu and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-12-24 with Business & Economics categories.

The main objective of this book is to provide an innovative set of concepts and tools regarding company management, internal and external stakeholders and social responsibilities, reflecting the necessities and opportunities generated by the digital transformation, the transition to a knowledge-based economy, and the COVID-19 crisis. The book, based on a holistic vision and contextual approach of business, contributes to the development of company management and stakeholder and social responsibility theories and practices, being structured in 12 chapters. The original company management vision, approaches, and tools are based on three pillars: a new "manager–relevant stakeholder" rather than "manager–subordinate" managerial paradigm; a new type of company social responsibility rather than corporate social responsibility; and a new concept of company-relevant stakeholder rather than that of salient stakeholders. The book contains two innovative managerial mechanisms: the managerial synapse and company-relevant stakeholders-based management system able to help companies and stakeholders face successfully the challenges of digital transformation and the COVID-19 crisis and to generate greater organization functionality and performance. The book will be of interest to company managers and management specialists, management academics, consultants and researchers, and MBA students interested in a style of management with social responsibility at the forefront.

Romanian Management Theory And Practice written by Ovidiu Nicolescu and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2024-09-19 with Business & Economics categories.

This open access book provides the current research on the features of Romanian management theory and practices. It explores Romania’s position in the global supply chain; Romanian firm’s contributions to the new global economy; and the processes and effect of internationalization and digitization on the Romanian economy. Romanian management practices, similar with other Eastern European nations, has a unique development. In the late 19th and early 20th century, they were an integral part of western management thinking. However, with the forced adoption of a communist political system and the nationalization of the Romanian economy, the managerial systems were recalibrated to replace profit maximizing objectives with social objectives yielding mixed results. Since the revolution of 1989 and the integration into NATO and the European Union, Romanian management systems are once again an integral part of the global economy. As the COVID-19 crisis revealed the limitations of globalization and the overreliance on Asian suppliers, Romania, along with the rest of Eastern Europe will continue to be integrated into the global economy and become a dependable alternative to Asian suppliers. This is an open access book.
