The Public Service Campaign, “If you see something, say something,” was started after 911. I have seen things I do not think are kosher for too long without saying anything. My silence ends with this book. I have seen too many people being made to feel like they do not belong because they march to the beat of their own drum and stand opposed to the status quo. I am talking about the so-called minorities, the physically and mentally challenged, the poor and uneducated, those battling addictions, the old, the young, those to the religious left and right, as well as those in the LGBT community, and a marid of other individuals and groups who do not fit with the in crowd. It has almost gotten to the point that the only people welcome to the party are those who put a gag on their mouth and will do anything to fit in; hesitant to rock the boat, for fear of persecution. My goal with the writing of this book is to blow the trumpet to announce that it is time we start to do more hugging than judging each other. I am tired of seeing people hurt simply because they do not fit into the cookie cutter role and place society and tradition says they belong in. If I refuse to hug you, I have no right to judge you. The same goes for those who refuse to hug me because I am Black, a father, son, brother, uncle, have mental, emotional and spiritual challenges, battling addiction, loneliness, and uncertainty, homeless, am a returning citizen, unapologetically male and a follower of Jesus Christ, American and most importantly a free thinker. If you can find any reason not to hug me or I attempt to find a reason not to hug you, neither of us have the right to judge or say anything about the other. I am completing this book while I reside at City View Multicare Center in Cicero, where I was blessed to find housing after being homeless for two years, as the result of a mental and drug relapse. I am thankful to the staff and residents here who have welcomed me into their midst with open arms. I pray that they will take a chance to read it and be encouraged to love and hug themselves as well as others every day. Though nursing homes are typically thought of as places of abandonment, there is a prevailing sense of family here at City View, which I am privileged to be a part of and supported by. Their Motto is, “Heroes live here and work here,” and it is true in every sense of the word. Who knows, if we all did a little more hugging and a lot less judging, we may find that many of our problems will go away.

Discover the healing power of hugs and how they can improve your life and your world in twnty-one days with this amazing guide. Dr. Stone’s prescription is for a twenty-one-second hug today and every day. One of the many benefits of hugging is that longer hugs have proven physiological benefits. Hugs are good for your immune system, your stress response, your sleep patterns, and so much more. Hug Therapy brings to life the meaning of hugging. In this book, you will discover: What it means to really, truly give yourself and others the profound gift of a hug How to be powerfully in action and more aware of what matters to you most That you may choose to begin hugging some strangers . . . with their blessing of course And perhaps most importantly, that together, one literal or metaphorical hug at a time, we make the world a better, healthier, and more connected place. Hug Therapy shares a full-on, unconditional hug from Dr. Stone Kraushaar. In this book, he invites you to wrap your arms around yourself, your life, and everyone around you in a whole new way. A good embrace?a hug?squeezes every ounce of fear, worry, and negativity out of your spirit, leaving you with nothing but warmth, inner peace, and a feeling of connection. Most people have difficulty remembering the last time someone gave them an all-encompassing hug. Hug Therapy encourages you to change that, one physical or metaphorical embrace at a time. It’s a “do good and feel great” book that will help you live more in the moment and stay tuned into what really matters. Praise for Hug Therapy “A re-envisioned, expanded, and brilliant twist that richly brings out the power of hugging in just 21 days. It teaches about the self-hug and how to bring it into one's outer circle, creating balance and harmony for the traveler.”?Kevin Zaborney, BA, MDiv, founder of National Hugging Day “Hug Therapy disrupts the simple act of a hug, turning it into a way to spark connection within you, your community, with strangers . . . and it may just end up bringing our planet to awareness of being one. Crazy, awesome hugs?of course you should become a part of this movement!”?Mich Hancock, co-founder of TEDxGatewayArch, host of MichMash Podcast

Judging Is It A Sin written by Monica Bennett-Ryan and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-07-07 with Religion categories.

'Judge not...' we've all heard those words, and those who 'judge' are generally rebuked and dismissed as dishonourable. But is all judgment dishonourable? Didn't Jesus go on to say, 'In the same way you judge others, you will be judged; for the measure (type of judgment) you use will be the measure used against you'. (Matt.7:2) What does that mean? Didn't Jesus also tell us to forgive? How can we forgive, if we don't first judge someone to be in need of our forgiveness? What about mercy? How can we give mercy if we don't judge that mercy is required? And why were we told that we will be judging angels? If God didn't forbid all judging, what, when and how, are we supposed to judge? "Hugs From The Heart" began as autobiographical bedtime story 'memories' meant to lighten the moods of dear friends, many of whom spend their lives providing care and support for others. A collection of memories from my past, observations from my own perspective, and encouragement for those darker moments everyone has every now and then, I've been told I 'write the way I talk', which I take as a compliment. This is my way of saying, "I love you. You're special. You deserve to be cared for. You are MINE and I'm here for you."
