She watches, unmoving, as someone dressed in a rabbit costume kidnaps a young girl. Devastated over having done nothing, Rhonda joins the investigation. But the closer she comes to identifying the abductor, the nearer she gets to the troubling truth about another missing child: her best friend, Lizzy, who vanished years before. For this is not the only white rabbit Rhonda has known - there was another in her childhood; one she feels she has been chasing all her life. The rabbit of her past holds the key to a mystery that has stained the lives of Rhonda and her friends, and now she must track him down - even if it means following where she doesn't want to go . . . From the author of the acclaimed Promise Not to Tell comes a chilling and mesmerizing tale of shattered innocence, guilt, and ultimate redemption.

Peter Pan is an arrogant little wanker Sorry, not sorry, you'd say it too if you'd ever been to Neverland. I know the big story is that Wendy Darling is the first girl to end up on Neverland because girls are too smart to fall out of their prams. I'm living proof that's a lie. Wendy was just the first time Peter actually asked permission before he took a girl to Neverland to be his mother. I guess he learned his lesson from me. He kidnapped me from my bed while I was sleeping and just expected me to be his mother. I'd rather be a Lost Boy than his mother. Peter eventually gave up on me. He lost a mother and two Lost Boys that day that left with me. I've been living away from Peter Pan. Me and my Lost Boys are now the Wildlings. We even have a fairy with us named Coale, who is a blacksmith fairy, but prefers making explosives. Coale and Blaize get along marvelously as Blaize loves to play with fire. But we've committed the one crime on Neverland Peter won't forgive. An instant death sentence for anyone on Neverland no matter how close to Peter you are. We already have one strike against us leaving him. We've now committed the ultimate Neverland sin. We woke up one morning and we've all grown up. There is a legend on Neverland, someone Peter hates. Someone no one knows where to find. Someone everyone on Neverland only knows as the hook nosed hag. If she's an old woman on Neverland, then she either predates Peter or she survived his culling. We have to stay out of Peter's way and find this mysterious hag. We find some old villains who end up not being villains. Captain Hook is not dead and may have information on the hag. We only have three days before Peter's Spring Cleaning is over and he returns Wendy's descendant back home. After that, he will be on the hunt for our blood. We don't even know if the hag survived Peter's culling. If not, everyone who has grown up on Neverland has died by Peter's blade.

But back in Neverland, everything has changed-and the dangers they find there are far beyond their dreams. . . Now a major motion picture starring Louis Partridge and Vanessa Redgrave, The Lost Girls is the story of a now grown-up Wendy and her ties to Peter Pan, in a novelized retelling of the original fairy tale. Imagine a world in which the sole purpose of the women in the Darling family has been to entertain Peter Pan and his lost tribe. That is, until the contemporary Wendy Darling decides that she does not want to succumb to the same fate of the three generations before her. And she does not want to bear a daughter whose destiny is to follow Peter Pan to a suspect fantasyland, become thoroughly smitten, and then go back to a life that is far less remarkable, waiting forever to return. In The Lost Girls, Wendy straddles the line separating the human desire for freedom and security, fantasy and reality in a truly unique take on a classic.

As a Peter Pan fan, imagine yourself flying in your dreams, without Tink’s fairy dust. While flying, you “see” other kids your age also flying. The story employs that fantasy. Eight young boys meet in their Peter Pan-induced flying dreams in the 1950’s. Destiny brings them all together in 1964 at Happy Valley College, a Disneyesque Fantasyland and Adventureland campus in northern California, where they form a bond, a tight brotherhood through athletics and their share of mischief-making, so much like Peter’s “Lost Boys” on Neverland. After one such incident they are brought before the Dean of Men, also a Peter Pan fan, who judges them of 19th century English public school “good character”, and symbolically labels the group his “Lost Boys”. The Lost Boys graduate, deal with the ever-present military draft and Vietnam War, and go their eight separate ways to pursue careers and live their lives. Their remarkable careers would make the dean proud. One quasi-Lost Boy, Tim, suffers demonstrably from Peter Pan Syndrome. In 2016, almost fifty years since the Lost Boys were all together at a San Francisco Forty Niners football game in 1969, they have a “seventy-year-olds” reunion at their campus, filled with adventures, mishaps, and renewed camaraderie. The week-long reunion concludes, and heartfelt farewells dominate. Does Tim beat the Syndrome? Will there be another reunion with all eight of the Lost Boys?

The Art Student's War is Brad Leithauser's finest novel to date, deeply moving in its portrayal of a young aspiring artist and her immigrant family during Detroit’s wartime heyday. The year is 1943. Bianca Paradiso is a pretty and ambitious eighteen-year-old studying to be an artist while her bustling, thriving hometown turns from mass-producing automobiles to rolling out fighter planes and tanks. For Bianca, national and personal conflicts begin to merge when she is asked to draw portraits of the wounded young soldiers who are filling local hospitals. Suddenly she must confront lives maimed at their outset as well as her own romantic yearnings, and she must do so at a time when another war—a war within her own family—is erupting.

The Little White Bird is generally divided into three sections: the first chronicles the narrator’s life in London, beginning with how he came to know a little boy named David (who joins him on his adventures), and describes other matters of his everyday life. The second section tells the story of how Peter Pan came to be a “betwixt-and-between” and his adventures in Kensington Gardens, including his interactions with the birds as well as the fairies hidden in the park. Finally, the third section of the book revisits London with the narrator and David. The two make brief visits to Kensington Gardens and embark on a new adventure to Patagonia. The Little White Bird is the first story to include the famous Peter Pan character, two years before Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Wouldn’t Grow Up, the play that made the character famous. While The Little White Bird can be described as a prelude to the play, inconsistencies such as Peter Pan’s age make the two stories incompatible.
