Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2008 im Fachbereich Politik - Politische Systeme - Politisches System Deutschlands, Note: 2,0, Technische Universität Kaiserslautern (FG Sozialwissenschaften), Veranstaltung: Vergleichende Regierungslehre/ Innenpolitik: Einführung in den Vergleich politischer Systeme, 15 Quellen im Literaturverzeichnis, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Lobbyismus ist in Deutschland weit verbreitet und existiert nicht erst seit Gründung der Bundesrepublik. Schon Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts entwickelte sich im deutschen Kaiserreich ein reiches und vielfältiges Assoziationswesen aus freiwilligen Vereinigungen und Verbänden wie dem Bund deutscher Industrieller (BdI) und dem Bund deutscher Landwirte (vgl. Leif/ Speth 2006: 19). Lobbyismus gilt als Glied, das politische Interessen nicht nur mit den wirtschaftlichen, sondern auch mit den Interessen des Volkes direkt verbinden kann. Im politischen Alltag wird Lobbyismus in verschiedenen Formen praktiziert. Basis einer erfolgreichen Lobbyarbeit ist jedoch, das beide Seiten vom "Geschäft mit der Information" profitieren. Politiker holen sich Fachinformationen und Ratschläge bei Firmen und Verbänden, welche im Gegenzug durch ihre Meinung Einfluss auf die Politik nehmen können. Oftmals gehen solche "Tauschprozesse" (Leif/ Speth 2006: 16) aber auch mit Geschenken an Politiker, zusätzlichen Gehältern, oder mit, im Anschluss an die Amtsperiode versprochenen, lukrativen Posten in Aufsichtsräten einher. Hier beginnt eine Grauzone, in der sich Korruption und Lobbyismus überschneiden (vgl. Leif/ Speth 2006: 27). Dies ist auch der Grund, warum das Phänomen Lobbyismus so Medien- und Öffentlichkeitsscheu ist, was zu weiteren Vorurteilen in der Bevölkerung führt. Es bildet sich ein Teufelskreis, der nur schwer zu durchbrechen ist. In meiner Hausarbeit möchte ich mich mit der theoretischen Fundierung, sowie den Zielen, der Struktur, den Akteuren, den Vor- und Nachtteilen und der Europäisierung von Lobbyismus widmen.

Participatory media 2.0have shifted the terrain of public life. We are all--individually and collectively--able to produce and circulate media to a potentially limitless audience, and we are all, at minimum, arbiters of knowledge and information through the choices--or clicks--we make when online. In this new environment of two-way and multidimensional media flow, digital communication tools, platforms and spaces offer enormous potential for the cultivation, development and circulation of diverse and counter-hegemonic perspectives. It has also provoked a crisis of communication between oppositional "echo chambers."Democracy requires a functioning, critically-engaged and literate populace, one that can participate in, cultivate and shape, in meaningful and critical ways, the discourses and forms of the society in which it exists. Education for democracy, therefore, requires not only political literacy but also media and digital literacies, given the ubiquity and immersiveness of Media 2.0in our lives.In Democracy 2.0, we feature a series of evocative, international case studies that document the impact of alternative and community use of media, in general, and Web 2.0in particular. The aim is to foster critical reflection on social realities, developing the context for coalition-building in support of social change and social justice. The chapters herein examine activist uses of social and visual media within a broad and critical frame, underpinning the potential of alternative and DIY (Do It Yourself) media to impact and help forge community relationships, to foster engagement in the civic and social life of citizens across the globe and, ultimately, to support thicker forms of democratic participation, engagement and conscientization, beyond electoralist, representative, normative democracy.

In this book, the authors set forth a new model of globalization that lays claims to supersede existing models, and then use this model to assess the way the processes of globalization have operated in different historic periods in respect to political organization, military globalization, trade, finance, corporate productivity, migration, culture, and the environment. Each of these topics is covered in a chapter which contrasts the contemporary nature of globalization with that of earlier epochs. In mapping the shape and political consequences of globalization, the authors concentrate on six states in advanced capitalist societies (SIACS): the United States, the United Kingdom, Sweden, France, Germany, and Japan. For comparative purposes, other statesparticularly those with developing economicsare referred to and discussed where relevant.
