The release of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual Version 5 (DSM-5) marked one of the biggest changes to the field of mental health diagnosis in over 20 years. DSM-5 Insanely Simplified provides a summary of key concepts of the new diagnostic schema including a section on the upcoming ICD-10. DSM-5 Insanely Simplified utilizes a variety of devices to help clinicians memorize complex criteria and ideas about the different diagnoses. Cartoons, mnemonic devices, and summary tables allow clinicians and students to quickly grasp and retain broad concepts and subtle nuances related to psychiatric diagnosis. DSM-5 Insanely Simplified fosters quick mastery of the most important concepts introduced in DSM-5 while offering an entirely new way of looking at mental health along a continuum. This new approach avoids simply "labeling" clients by placing them along spectrums that range from normal to problematic symptoms. Mental health professionals as well as laymen interested in a deeper understanding of emotional well-being will appreciate the synthesis of deep psychology and modern approaches to diagnosis. Steven Buser trained in medicine at Duke University and served 12 years as a physician in the US Air Force. He is a graduate of the two-year Clinical Training Program at the CG Jung Institute of Chicago and is a co-founder of the Asheville Jung Center. In addition to a busy psychiatric private practice he serves as Publisher for Chiron Publications. He is active in the community and strives to integrate faith and spirituality into psychotherapy. He resides in the mountains in Asheville, NC with his wife and two children. Len Cruz is the Editor-in-Chief of Chiron Publications, a book publishing company specializing in psychology, mythology, religion, and culture and a co-founder of the Asheville Jung Center. Mind Membrain written by Joanna Wildy and has been published by Troubador Publishing Ltd this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2022-11-28 with Health & Fitness categories.

Mind & Membrain is a book that not only reveals the 'missing link' between head impacts, mental health issues and early onset dementia but also offers a new approach to mental health diagnosis and treatment. It will interest patients, carers and practitioners across the whole field of mental health. The book begins with the link between head impacts and mental health issues, and early onset dementia. The statistics are well documented and the link is now headline news for sports such as rugby and football. Yet while knocks to the head of all kinds are commonplace and the consequences for mental health are now recognised, the link remains poorly understood. No one so far appears to have grasped the crucial role of the medically neglected dura membrane that lines the skull, envelops the brain and controls the vital irrigation system of the cranium. “Membrain disorder” gives a name to a common but typically undiagnosed condition where the skull is impacted, the dura responds, and – without preventive treatment – the brain and thus the patient’s mental health are impaired, both short and long term. The book, uniquely, explains how membrain disorder can be diagnosed and then successfully treated by a hands-on approach, without drugs or surgery. The book then addresses the current crisis in mental health diagnosis and treatment. Rather than lament the situation, this book offers a solution: an original model for mental health diagnosis. Drawing on complexity theory and biology, the approach generates a practical ‘road map’ guiding a practitioner to discover the dimension of origin of a mental health issue (rather than seek the closest match to the symptoms in the quasi-official doctors’ diagnostical manual, DSM-5). Similar symptoms can have completely different origins, ranging from microscopic molecular imbalances to society-level pressures. With the dimension of origin identified, an effective treatment can be implemented. The book will interest doctors, therapists, manual practitioners and others and give hope to mental health patients, their loved ones and their carers, especially those struggling to find a solution for problems that respond neither to drugs nor talking therapies. Mind & Membrain is written for the lay person and includes personal case histories that bring the topic alive.

Finding Your Own Goliath written by Byron Wardlaw and has been published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc. this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019-11-19 with Religion categories.

The Bible mentions giants, most notably the giant Goliath. Giants put fear in the hearts and minds of most of the Hebrew populace. Goliath kept Saul's army frozen in fear; they were unable to fulfill their purpose as soldiers. Goliath never did anything, and yet he was an effective deterrent. The story of David versus Goliath was battle of flesh and blood. There is a deeper meaning to Goliath and the giants in the promised land, and it has to do with fears, insecurities, and anxieties that lie deep within each one of us. In fact, those fears are so deep within us that David describes them as "secret faults" that are in the "hidden part." These fears exist and greatly affect each person, but they are so well guarded that one is not even aware of their existence. These are the giants that keep one from having the faith to go down into the valley and fight the battles of life. Even the apostle Paul acknowledged the profound influence of these giants and could only proclaim, "Oh, wretched man that I am." The truth that will set one free is when one comes to the realization that they need Christ to help foster an awareness of the existence of those inner fears. David noted that God desires that one will find "truth in the inward parts." The battles in life are not carnal, "for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood" but against the giants in the depths of one's own spirit. Human nature urges people to concentrate on external phenomena when the real giants that impede prosperity, potentiality, peace, faith, and love are internal phenomena. Each one only needs to find their own personal Goliaths that lie within.

Jung S Red Book For Our Time Searching For Soul In The 21st Century written by Murray Stein and has been published by Chiron Publications this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2022-12-10 with Psychology categories.

Do we, like Jung, need to leave the spirit of the time and follow the spirit of the depths, to call out "my soul, where are you?" through the windows of our now post-modern homes? We live in a digital world of incredible virtual inter-connectedness but at the same time fragmented and divided on many levels, including the psychological. The pace of life is rapid and ever accelerating. The spirit of the time is flux: It twitters. There is no sense of coherence in the whole. The guidance of a transcendent North Star is invisible to the naked eye of consciousness. Our existential crisis is not about the individual alone. It infects the entire human world, like the Covid-19 pandemic. Wars between cultural brothers and sisters, increasingly dire effects of climate change, economic disruptions, hunger, migration-these conditions affect everyone on the planet. Is there a spirit of the depths that can take us through this Inferno, perhaps toward the emergence of a meaningful narrative that can stabilize the global community and provide a collective sense of "supreme meaning?" This is the search for soul in the 21st Century.
