This book provides senior managers, project- and program managers, team coaches and team leaders with thought and management tools for potentiating self-organization and creating collaborative intelligence in teams. Adapted and expanded from the 2018 Dynamic Collaboration: Strengthening Self-Organization and Collaborative Intelligence in Teams, the book aids readers in establishing team structures optimal for shared leadership, based on the longitudinal adult development of contributors, especially as team members. Drawing from theoretical and empirical research on social-emotional and cognitive development since 1975, the authors create a provocative paradigm of forming, managing, evaluating and linking teams into networks. They introduce an empirically validated team typology and workspace analysis of dialogue spaces called ‘We-Spaces’. Featuring real world examples and cases of teams that have become self-organizing, this book is a valuable resource for upper and middle level managers, CEOs, Board of Directors as well as consultants, researchers and academics in human resource management, adult development, team building, leadership and organizational management.

Present trends in cloud providers (CPs) capabilities have given rise to the interest in federating or collaborating clouds, thus allowing providers to revel on an increased scale and reach more than that is achievable individually. Current research efforts in this context mainly focus on building supply chain collaboration (SCC) models, in which CPs leverage cloud services from other CPs for seamless provisioning. Nevertheless, in the near future, we can expect that hundreds of CPs will compete to offer services and thousands of users will also compete to receive the services to run their complex heterogeneous applications on a cloud computing environment. In this open federation scenario, existing collaboration models (i.e. SCC) are not applicable since they are designed for static environments where a-priori agreements among the parties are needed to establish the federation. To move beyond these shortcomings, Dynamic Cloud Collaboration Platform establishes the basis for developing dynamic, advanced and efficient collaborative cloud service solutions that are scalable, high performance, and cost effective. We term the technology for inter-connection and inter-operation of CPs in open cloud federation as Dynamic Cloud Collaboration (DCC), in which various CPs (small, medium, and large) of complementary service requirements will collaborate dynamically to gain economies of scale and enlargements of their capabilities to meet quality of service (QoS) requirements of consumers. In this context, this book addresses four key issues - when to collaborate (triggering circumstances), whom to collaborate with (suitable partners), how to collaborate (architectural model), and how to demonstrate collaboration applicability (simulation study). It also provides solutions, which are effective in real environments.

If collaboration is essential in today's world, why is it sometimes so difficult to actually implement? Why do many organizations spend huge amounts of time installing expensive collaborative solutions only to find that employees don't use them? Dynamic Collaboration shows how leaders can harness the power of Web 2.0 and use it to tap into the collective intelligence of their organizations.

Dynamic Lines Of Collaboration written by Hao Zhong and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019-12-03 with Technology & Engineering categories.

This book focuses on the systematic modeling of complex situations characterized by escalating disruptions, and on cycles of dynamic collaboration for the best handling of disruptions. What can we do about disruptive events and their cascading effects? Thanks to the evolution of intelligent technologies for interaction, communication, sharing, and collaboration, cyberspace is a rapidly expanding world. Our systems of machines, software services, and human organizations have become increasingly interdependent, in other words – networked. As a result, disruptions that initially affect only a small part of any network tend to escalate. At the same time, cyber solutions can support first responders and emergency handlers, enhancing their responsiveness and ability to collaborate with one another in controlling disruptions and preventing their escalation. In this book, we are chiefly interested in how effectively these collaborations can be supported and how we can further optimize such support. Solution guidelines for optimizing collaborations are illustrated with examples in various application domains: agricultural robotics, civil cyber-physical infrastructure, visual analytics, manufacturing automation, and supply chains. Open-source simulation tools are also provided to supplement the main content.

The Dynamics Of Industrial Collaboration written by Anne Plunket and has been published by Edward Elgar Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2001-01-01 with Business & Economics categories.

The Dynamics of Industrial Collaboration revisits and reformulates issues previously raised by inter-firm collaboration. The latest research in collaboration, processes and evaluation of cooperation, and industrial and research networks, is presented by way of both empirical and theoretical studies. The authors use several theoretical perspectives to explain inter-firm and inter-institutional collaboration: the theory of transaction costs and contracts, evolutionary theory, and the resource-based view. The book illustrates that none of these approaches are dominant.
