In the field of computer vision research, the study of human behavior is a formidable challenge. The diverse applications of this field, from video surveillance for crowd analysis to healthcare diagnostics, have drawn increasing attention. However, a significant problem persists – the sacrifice of transparency for the sake of predictive accuracy in Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions. These AI systems often operate as enigmatic black boxes, seemingly conjuring decisions from vast datasets with little to no explanation. The need for clarity and accountability in AI decision-making is paramount as our reliance on these systems continues to grow. Explainable AI Applications for Human Behavior Analysis embarks on a mission to harness AI's innate capability to elucidate upon its own decision-making processes. By focusing on facial expressions, gestures, and body movements, we delve into uncharted territories of research, offering novel methodologies, databases, benchmarks, and algorithms for the analysis of human behavior in natural settings. Geared toward academic scholars, this book compiles the expertise of leading researchers in the field, making it accessible to readers of all educational backgrounds.

Dynamic Embodiment For Social Theory written by Brenda Farnell and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-02-27 with Philosophy categories.

This book presents a series of ontological investigations into an adequate theory of embodiment for the social sciences. Informed by a new realist philosophy of causal powers, it seeks to articulate a concept of dynamic embodiment, one that positions human body movement, and not just ‘the body’ at the heart of theories of social action. Using the work of Rom Harré, Roy Bhaskar, Charles Varela and Drid Williams this book applies causal powers theory to a revised ontology of personhood, and discusses why the adequate location of human agency is crucial for the social sciences. The breakthrough lies in fact that new realism affords us an account of embodied human agency as a generative causal power that is grounded in our corporeal materiality, thereby connecting natural/physical and cultural worlds. Dynamic Embodiment for Social Theory is compelling reading for students and academics of the social sciences, especially anthropologists and sociologists of ‘the body’, and those interested in new developments in critical realism.

The most common form of severe dementia, Alzheimer’s disease (AD), is a cumulative neurological disorder because of the degradation and death of nerve cells in the brain tissue, intelligence steadily declines and most of its activities are compromised in AD. Before diving into the level of AD diagnosis, it is essential to highlight the fundamental differences between conventional machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL). This work covers a number of photo-preprocessing approaches that aid in learning because image processing is essential for the diagnosis of AD. The most crucial kind of neural network for computer vision used in medical image processing is called a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). The proposed study will consider facial characteristics, including expressions and eye movements using the diffusion model, as part of CNN’s meticulous approach to Alzheimer’s diagnosis. Convolutional neural networks were used in an effort to sense Alzheimer’s disease in its early stages using a big collection of pictures of facial expressions.
