The theory of holomorphic dynamical systems is a subject of increasing interest in mathematics, both for its challenging problems and for its connections with other branches of pure and applied mathematics. A holomorphic dynamical system is the datum of a complex variety and a holomorphic object (such as a self-map or a vector ?eld) acting on it. The study of a holomorphic dynamical system consists in describing the asymptotic behavior of the system, associating it with some invariant objects (easy to compute) which describe the dynamics and classify the possible holomorphic dynamical systems supported by a given manifold. The behavior of a holomorphic dynamical system is pretty much related to the geometry of the ambient manifold (for instance, - perbolic manifolds do no admit chaotic behavior, while projective manifolds have a variety of different chaotic pictures). The techniques used to tackle such pr- lems are of variouskinds: complexanalysis, methodsof real analysis, pluripotential theory, algebraic geometry, differential geometry, topology. To cover all the possible points of view of the subject in a unique occasion has become almost impossible, and the CIME session in Cetraro on Holomorphic Dynamical Systems was not an exception.

Research Problems In Function Theory written by Walter K. Hayman and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019-09-07 with Mathematics categories.

In 1967 Walter K. Hayman published ‘Research Problems in Function Theory’, a list of 141 problems in seven areas of function theory. In the decades following, this list was extended to include two additional areas of complex analysis, updates on progress in solving existing problems, and over 520 research problems from mathematicians worldwide. It became known as ‘Hayman's List’. This Fiftieth Anniversary Edition contains the complete ‘Hayman's List’ for the first time in book form, along with 31 new problems by leading international mathematicians. This list has directed complex analysis research for the last half-century, and the new edition will help guide future research in the subject. The book contains up-to-date information on each problem, gathered from the international mathematics community, and where possible suggests directions for further investigation. Aimed at both early career and established researchers, this book provides the key problems and results needed to progress in the most important research questions in complex analysis, and documents the developments of the past 50 years.

Holomorphic Dynamics written by S. Morosawa and has been published by Cambridge University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2000-01-13 with Mathematics categories.

This book, first published in 2000, is a comprehensive introduction to holomorphic dynamics, that is the dynamics induced by the iteration of various analytic maps in complex number spaces. This has been the focus of much attention in recent years, with, for example, the discovery of the Mandelbrot set, and work on chaotic behaviour of quadratic maps. The treatment is mathematically unified, emphasizing the substantial role played by classical complex analysis in understanding holomorphic dynamics as well as giving an up-to-date coverage of the modern theory. The authors cover entire functions, Kleinian groups and polynomial automorphisms of several complex variables such as complex Henon maps, as well as the case of rational functions. The book will be welcomed by graduate students and professionals in pure mathematics and science who seek a reasonably self-contained introduction to this exciting area.

In this volume, the authors present a collection of surveys on various aspects of the theory of bifurcations of differentiable dynamical systems and related topics. By selecting these subjects, they focus on those developments from which research will be active in the coming years. The surveys are intended to educate the reader on the recent literature on the following subjects: transversality and generic properties like the various forms of the so-called Kupka-Smale theorem, the Closing Lemma and generic local bifurcations of functions (so-called catastrophe theory) and generic local bifurcations in 1-parameter families of dynamical systems, and notions of structural stability and moduli. - Covers recent literature on various topics related to the theory of bifurcations of differentiable dynamical systems - Highlights developments that are the foundation for future research in this field - Provides material in the form of surveys, which are important tools for introducing the bifurcations of differentiable dynamical systems

Maergoiz and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-04-17 with Mathematics categories.

Asymptotic Characteristics of Entire Functions and Their Applications in Mathematics and Biophysics is the second edition of the same book in Russian, revised and enlarged. It is devoted to asymptotical questions of the theory of entire and plurisubharmonic functions. The new and traditional asymptotical characteristics of entire functions of one and many variables are studied. Applications of these indices in different fields of complex analysis are considered, for example Borel-Laplace transformations and their modifications, Mittag-Leffler function and its natural generalizations, integral methods of summation of power series and Riemann surfaces. In the second edition, a new appendix is devoted to the consideration of those questions for a class of entire functions of proximate order. A separate chapter is devoted to applications in biophysics, where the algorithms of mathematical analysis of homeostasis system behaviour, dynamics under external influence are investigated, which may be used in different fields of natural science and technique. This book is of interest to research specialists in theoretical and applied mathematics, postgraduates and students of universities who are interested in complex and real analysis and its applications.

There are very few systematic books on the dynamics of entire functions. Unfortunately, reading these books is often difficult for non-specialists since their proofs are not clearly written, and readers struggle to understand the arguments fully. This book is a comprehensive introduction to the iteration theory of entire complex functions. It is intended to introduce the reader to the key topics in the field and to form a basis for further study. In general, the proofs are more detailed; therefore, the book will also help non-specialist mathematicians become acquainted with complex dynamics. In no sense is this manuscript a complete account of the subject. Nevertheless, the book may also be helpful to young researchers in this field before they tackle more specific works. The book deals with three possible aspects: theory, practice, and computer graphics. In Appendix C, we explained the necessary rudiments of MATLAB RGB images to create computer graphics of different sets considered in the book, such as the sets of Julia and Mandelbrot. In this Appendix, a gallery is also included where beautiful and spectacular images are shown. The author has obtained all these images using MATLAB, most of which are revealed here for the first time.

This volume contains the proceedings of the ICTS Program: Groups, Geometry and Dynamics, held December 3-16, 2012, at CEMS, Almora, India. The activity was an academic tribute to Ravi S. Kulkarni on his turning seventy. Articles included in this volume, both introductory and advanced surveys, represent the broad area of geometry that encompasses a large portion of group theory (finite or otherwise) and dynamics in its proximity. These areas have been influenced by Kulkarni's ideas and are closely related to his work and contribution.
