Where did mankind really come from? Why are we here? We can't understand the past until we embrace the future. These critical mysteries take center stage as Earth emerges into a Galactic Society that is far more perilous than anyone could have imagined. Our history is far more complicated than we could have known. Can a few brilliant minds find a way out for Earth? One saving grace is that there are those that believe ancient clues foretell that Earth has a destiny, and if we can survive our present difficulties we might just find out what that destiny is... Dr. Mark Spencer was a young and up and coming history and anthropology professor who was all too familiar with what happens to less advanced civilizations when suddenly exposed to others of considerably higher technology. There's only one survivor and the culture witnessing magic isn't it. When modern day Earth suddenly finds itself on the losing end of that proposition a team of the world's best scientists is put together to find a solution. Of course the advanced society being friendly, Earth's citizens uniting, and the world's politicians working together for the common good would help tremendously, but... what if none of that were true?

This book provides a comprehensive treatment of the chemical nature of the Earth’s early surface environment and how that led to the origin of life. This includes a detailed discussion of the likely process by which life emerged using as much quantitative information as possible. The emergence of life and the prior surface conditions of the Earth have implications for the evolution of Earth’s surface environment over the following 2-2.5 billion years. The last part of the book discusses how these changes took place and the evidence from the geologic record that supports this particular version of early and evolving conditions.

At the dawn of the 22nd century a cosmic-scale secret is revealed at the deathbed of a dying scientist. What makes this information so special and esoteric? Floods, drought, and pandemics sweep across the world. By 2030 half of Earth's population is wiped out. Those who survive choose different paths. American society regresses to a medieval Dark Age, others, who manage to escape, build a new civilization from scratch. With the help of Zita's invention, mankind sends a spaceship to terraform planet Mars. What they find there affects them profoundly. Some astronauts perish, but --with Masha's discovery and Martian intervention --the last two are saved. The captain falls into a coma, and the most influential encounter humankind has ever faced rests on the shoulders of Ocean alone. A mysterious new reality is revealed. Her perspectives and views are exposed and come under scrutiny. Will humanity pass the test? In the Americas, young rebels form a secret alliance. Two of their leaders, Mirella and Kyle, vow to find the long-lost scientists and end the oppression. When they get separated, their lives take an unexpected turn. Mirella goes through indescribable suffering. Will her determination prevail? The newly founded nations decide to unite humanity, the stage is set, and a global-scale search takes place. When Ocean returns to Earth, an unforeseen chain of events occurs. She's entrusted with the greatest secret of all. The fate of humanity is forever turned. Will mankind be able to re-emerge? Who plays the key role in the Cosmos? Beliefs are challenged, lives are changed, and nothing will ever be the same. Civilizations meet, and bonds form as humanity approaches its destiny. The final twist of the story sets the stage for the second installment of the trilogy, and promises even more mystery to untangle the Cosmic Enigma.

If early degassing of the Earth produced a global ocean several km deep overlying a global sialic crust, then late heavy bombardment of that crust by basin forming impacting bodies would have produced topography such that by 4 billion years ago dry continential landmasses would stand above sea level. From extrapolation of lunar crater statistics, at least 50% of an original global crust on the earth would have been converted into basins averaging 4 km deep after isostatic adjustment. These basins formed the sink into which such a global ocean would drain. If the ocean was initially 2 km deep, then approximately 50% of the early Earth would have stood above sea level when the late heavy bombardment came to a close.

About the Book With a fascinating mixture of fact and fiction, Genesis II maps the course of mankind and his development of a unique propulsion system that makes the ambitious plan to colonize the far reaches of space possible. So far, mankind has developed tiny rockets with exploring devices that have landed on or have gone by other planets and sent back information, but we have only put man in space and on the moon. With research, we've learned water is one of the most common substances in outer space; all the asteroids and comets are full of it. In addition, Alpha Centauri has three suns, is our closest star, and has planets of its own. A unique fission engine and rocket ship using uranium ore and water as propulsion will carry humanity to Alpha Centauri. Yes, it will travel at two million miles per hour, exhausting 3000 tonnes of water 180 times, and yes, it will take 1300 years to get there. Read Genesis II and experience this stellar adventure.
