FROM THE AUTHOR: EARTH'S LAST WAR is approx. 120,000 words. It has little if any filler. Personally, I hate a 3 page description of how a star-drive engine operates (or even 3 paragraphs). I like a story that moves fairly quickly between events like they do in Star Wars, Star Trek, Babylon 5 or Battlestar Galactica. If you do too, then I believe this book is for you. The novel does provide a stopping point for those that want to end on a HAPPILY EVER AFTER - or continue on to the EPILOGUE with the BIG, DARK CLIFFHANGER that leads into the sequel. Muhahaha. Earth's Last War is adventure, action and romance, amid a journey across the stars. It is a space opera, similar to Star Wars and Star Trek. EARTHS' LAST WAR is the full blown sci-fi, action and romance novel 'I' had always wanted to read but couldn't find. NOW, on to the fun stuff... Professionally Edited by Brook Anderson. Exclusive cover (done to EXACT story depiction) by WORLD CLASS ILLUSTRATOR, Claudio Aboy! You get a FREE HD copy at the end of the book to download. THE SYNOPSIS... EARTH'S LAST WAR tells the story of Steven Sherrah, the man who commands Earth's last surviving starship. He has been struggling to keep the handful of Earth's survivors alive, hiding from the most vicious and powerful enemy humanity has ever known, an enemy that is relentless in his determination to see that every last human is killed. His life is turned upside down as Ashlyn Parker, a woman genetically engineered to be mentally and physically perfect - the next step in humanity's evolution, awakens from stasis. For her protection, she had been cryogenically frozen when Earth was attacked. Her return is brutal, for she awakens fifteen years later into a post-apocalyptic Earth. Everyone she had known before is gone, the world destroyed. From the first moment that the distress signal is received and Steven meets Ashlyn, his heart is inexplicably drawn to her, as she is to him. Her presence challenges all that he has known, for within her, she holds secrets to a past he had never known existed. As the two of them join forces, secrets are unveiled. The survivors are given a reason to hope. Her abilities, knowledge and support will help Steven lead the survivors on a journey across the stars where they will discover that humanity is far more important than they ever thought possible. The historical references and ideas in EARTH'S LAST WAR are a compilation of study and research based upon the works of Carl Sagan, Zechariah Sitchin and Richard C. Hoagland to name a few. This 'fictional' story is logical and plausible. * Fun science facts! There is 'sound' on the moon. Seismic vibrations like those the astronauts experienced when hammering, can be heard inside an astronauts suit, where there is air. Also, there are 'shockwaves' in space. Plasma waves, various gasses, gravitation and CME's can do it. The Voyager spacecraft experienced 3 such shockwaves, announced publicly Dec. 2014. Scientists report that space is 'full' of shockwaves by the millions in various forms.

This book explains how the tax rules of the various countries in the world interact with one another to form an international tax regime: a set of principles embodied in both domestic legislation and treaties that significantly limits the ability of countries to choose any tax rules they please. The growth of this international tax regime is an important part of the phenomenon of globalization, and the book delves into how tax revenues are divided among different countries. It also explains how U.S. tax rules in particular apply to cross-border transactions and how they embody the norms of the international tax regime.

As space ventures have become more numerous, leading scientists and theorists have offered ways of building a living habitat in a hostile environment, taking an ‘ecosystems’ view of space colonization. The contributors to this volume take a radical multi-disciplinary view of the challenge of human space colonization through the ongoing project Persephone. This book fundamentally challenges prevalent ideas about sustainability and proposes a new approach to resource austerity and conservation and providing truly sustainable approaches that are life-promoting. Readers will learn the details of the plans for Persephone – a real project that is part of the company Icarus Interstellar’s plans for the design and engineering of a living interior on a worldship to be constructed in Earth’s orbit within 100 years. Although the timeframe itself is only an estimate, since it is contingent on many significant developments, including funding and technological advances, the industry consensus is that within 100 years we will see manned space exploration beyond our solar system. This notion is shared by organizations such as the Initiative for Interstellar Studies and the DARPA-funded 100-year starship project. This book specifically develops the principles for the construction of a living habitat within a worldship – a multi-generational starship that contains its own world that supports colonists as it travels across great distances between stars at a speed much slower than light. Far from being a sterile industrial setup, such as the ISS, or even being a bucolic suburbia as proposed by Gerard O’Neill in the 1970s, this worldship will provide the pre-conditions for sustaining life beyond Earth’s environment, which may also lead to the evolution of non-terrestrial ecologies. Drawing on the principles of ecopoiesis and insights offered by the Biosphere 2 experiment that demonstrated what we have to learn about ecosystem construction, this book proposes first designing the soils of such a space. It should then be possible to set up the conditions that a first generation of colonists may experience in leaving our solar system to find new worlds to settle - perhaps in spreading life throughout the universe. Although the book takes a unique view of ecology and sustainability within the setting of a traveling starship it is equally concerned with the human experience on artificial worlds. Chapters come from a range of multi disciplinary thinkers who shed light on the brave new future ahead from different angles.

Four WWII combatants travel to a distant and dangerous future in this novel by “two of the most revered names from [science fiction’s] Golden Age” (SFReviews.net). During World War II, four bitter enemies are pulled forward a billion years in time by a master being from an alien galaxy. They arrive on a dying Earth—to Carcasilla, Earth’s last citadel—where the mutated remnants of humanity are making their final stand against the monstrous creations of a fading world. Thrust in the middle of this desperate struggle for survival, the last humans must put aside their differences and stop the looming Armageddon. Praise for Henry Kuttner “One of the all-time major names in science fiction.” —The New York Times “A neglected master.” —Ray Bradbury, author of Fahrenheit 451 “Kuttner is magic.” —Joe R. Lansdale, author of The Thicket
