Introduction To Numerical And Analytical Methods With Matlab For Engineers And Scientists written by William Bober and has been published by CRC Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-11-12 with Mathematics categories.
This textbook teaches students how to write computer programs on the MATLAB platform and to use many of MATLAB's built-in functions to solve engineering-type problems. To students, MATLAB's built-in functions are black boxes. By combining a textbook on MATLAB with basic numerical and analytical analysis, the mystery of what the black boxes contain is somewhat alleviated. Within each chapter there are exercises related to the topics just covered. The text contains many examples from mechanical, civil, aeronautical, and electrical engineering.

Nonparametric Statistics With Applications To Science And Engineering written by Paul H. Kvam and has been published by John Wiley & Sons this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2007-08-24 with Mathematics categories.
A thorough and definitive book that fully addresses traditional and modern-day topics of nonparametric statistics This book presents a practical approach to nonparametric statistical analysis and provides comprehensive coverage of both established and newly developed methods. With the use of MATLAB, the authors present information on theorems and rank tests in an applied fashion, with an emphasis on modern methods in regression and curve fitting, bootstrap confidence intervals, splines, wavelets, empirical likelihood, and goodness-of-fit testing. Nonparametric Statistics with Applications to Science and Engineering begins with succinct coverage of basic results for order statistics, methods of categorical data analysis, nonparametric regression, and curve fitting methods. The authors then focus on nonparametric procedures that are becoming more relevant to engineering researchers and practitioners. The important fundamental materials needed to effectively learn and apply the discussed methods are also provided throughout the book. Complete with exercise sets, chapter reviews, and a related Web site that features downloadable MATLAB applications, this book is an essential textbook for graduate courses in engineering and the physical sciences and also serves as a valuable reference for researchers who seek a more comprehensive understanding of modern nonparametric statistical methods.

High Performance Adaptive Control Of Teleoperation Systems written by Di-Hua Zhai and has been published by CRC Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2023-04-17 with Technology & Engineering categories.
Within a unified switched-control framework, this book investigates the high-performance control designs and theoretic analyses for teleoperation systems, including the joint space and task space teleoperations, the homogeneous and heterogeneous teleoperations, and the single-master single-slave and multi-master multi-slave teleoperations. The book begins with an introduction to the concepts and challenges of networked teleoperation systems. Then, it investigates a new adaptive control framework based on auxiliary switched filters for the bilateral teleoperation systems to handle the model uncertainty and non-passive external forces. To overcome the input constraints of robotic systems, this adaptive method is also extended to the anti-windup adaptive control case. Furthermore, to apply to multi-robot remote collaboration scenarios and heterogeneous teleoperations, two tele-coordination methods and an adaptive semi-autonomous control method are respectively developed. Finally, the authors examine two finite-time control schemes and two types of improved prescribed performance controls for teleoperation systems to improve the transient-state and steady-state synchronization performances. This title will be an essential reference for researchers and engineers interested in teleoperation, robotic systems, and nonlinear control systems. It would also prove useful to graduate students in the fields of science, engineering, and computer science.

Isogeometric Analysis For Engineers Via Matlab written by John Edward Akin and has been published by World Scientific this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2024-11-12 with Technology & Engineering categories.
This unique compendium approaches the relatively new Isogeometric Analysis (IGA) methods at senior undergraduates level in engineering or applied mathematics. It describes the differences between the well-established Finite Element Analysis (FEA) methods and why they are being replaced, or enhanced, by the latest developments in IGA.The book begins with summaries of the concepts of B-splines, NURBS, and 'knot vectors' which define them as exact representations of the geometry and as powerful analysis functions having higher continuity than the FEA use of Lagrange polynomials. The useful reference text includes Appendices with Matlab scripts for creating B-spline basis functions, topics in computer aided geometric design (CAGD) from which IGA arose, and matrix operations common to IGA and FEA. It also informs FEA users of the enhancements offered by IGA.
