Książka, którą oddajemy do rąk Czytelników, zawiera prace będące pokłosiem Ogólnopolskiej Konferencji Naukowej Edward Stachura – formy pamięci, znaki czasu, która została zorganizowana przez Zakład Antropologii Literatury i Edukacji Polonistycznej Instytutu Literatury Polskiej Uniwersytetu Mikołaja Kopernika w Toruniu oraz działające przy nim Koło Lektury Filologiczno-Filozoficznej w dniu 9 października 2015 r. Autorzy prezentowanej publikacji starali się, by tom ukazywał, poprzez różne języki i style badawcze, „nowego”, „dzisiejszego” i współczesnego Stachurę w zestawieniu ze Stachurą „minionym”, „dawnym”, „starym”. Stąd – miejmy nadzieję – powstało studium wielowątkowe, zróżnicowane, starające się pokazać, jak można – za pomocą narzędzi i metodologii współczesnej humanistyki – odczytywać u progu XXI w., niemal czterdzieści lat po śmierci pisarza, dzieło autora Całej jaskrawości. Voices From Within Grotowski S Polish Collaborators written by Paul Allain and has been published by Polish Theatre Perspectives this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2015-01-01 with Performing Arts categories.

Voices from Within: Grotowski’s Polish Collaborators brings together, for the first time in English, the distinctive voices of renowned director Jerzy Grotowski’s Polish colleagues, providing a rare insight into different areas of their research and work. Through conversations, recollections, journal entries, images, working notes, and other testimonies, the collection opens up a range of perspectives on this changing practice — both within and beyond the theatre — from the actors, artists, designers, producers, administrators, and investigators who co-created it. The book spans the full period of Grotowski’s career, from the ‘theatre of productions’ phase, through paratheatre and Theatre of Sources, to the final phase of ‘Art as vehicle’ following his emigration from Poland. What emerges from these narratives is a genuinely collaborative endeavour that, as Grotowski himself comments within — in a note distributed with the Laboratory Theatre’s touring productions — is often mistakenly associated with ‘his name and his name alone’. Voices from Within makes an important contribution to international understanding of this work, by offering a multi-vocal ‘insiders’ account’ of the collective and individual searches, uncertainties, discoveries, and experiences that accompanied many of Grotowski’s long-time creative partnerships. This title is available in paperback and as an Open Access ebook.

Eastern European Youth Cultures In A Global Context written by Matthias Schwartz and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016-04-29 with Social Science categories.

The demise of state Socialisms caused radical social, cultural and economic changes in Eastern Europe. Since then, young people have been confronted with fundamental disruptions and transformations to their daily environment, while an unsettling, globalized world substantially reshapes local belongings and conventional values. In times of multiple instabilities and uncertainties, this volume argues, young people prefer to try to adjust to given circumstances than to adopt the behaviour of potential rebellious, adolescent role models, dissident counter-cultures or artistic breakings of taboo. Eastern European Youth Cultures in a Global Context takes this situation as a starting point for an examination of generational change, cultural belongings, political activism and everyday practices of young people in different Eastern European countries from an interdisciplinary perspective. It argues that the conditions of global change not only call for a differentiated evaluation of youth cultures, but also for a revision of our understanding of 'youth' itself – in Eastern Europe and beyond.

This volume makes visible the cooperation between the Visegrad Fund and Humboldt University of Berlin. With selections exploring the fields of performance, cinema, and sound, it incorporates ideas from performance theory, film and media studies, art history, philosophy, and literary theory. On the other hand it is the permeability of the media to each other—as well as to other expressive forms such as theatre and happenings, film and photography, voice and writing—that takes center stage. Fifteen essays delve into questions of performativity with concrete examples from Central and Eastern Europe: e.g. Czech, Hungarian, Russian, Slovak, and Soviet cinema; the Polish Academy of Movement, Tot Art, and Orange Alternative; the Hungarian performer Tamás Szentjóby and post-Fluxus phenomena; Polish "hobo poets" like Marcin Świetlicki; works of the French Jean Fautrier, the Czech Mikuláš Medek, and the Slovak Dominik Tatarka on sound and voice; Belarusian and Polish "sung poetry" as intermedial subversion of tradition, and the textual performance of Dezső Kosztolányi’s disappeared voice.
