Objetivo: Investigar a influência da interpretação subjetiva de histórias em quadrinhos sobre a opinião criada acerca de personagens fictícios da história, bem como mudanças de atitudes com relação aos mesmos, a partir da análise de avaliações dos personagens feitas através da escala de diferencial semântico. Além disso, buscou-se avaliar a influencia da prostituição na avaliação dos personagens. Procedimento: A presente pesquisa foi realizada de forma online na plataforma Meet. A primeira etapa consistiu no envio do link de um pré-teste, feito no Google Forms, contendo a Escala de Diferencial Semântico (EDS). Por meio dela, disposta em 13 pares de adjetivos, o participante avaliou a aparência de três personagens em figuras apresentadas antes da leitura da história em quadrinhos. A segunda etapa do experimento foi a leitura em si da história em quadrinhos, elaborada com os mesmos personagens avaliados no pré-teste. Finalizada a leitura, foi enviado no chat da plataforma, um link pós-teste do Google Forms, idêntico ao primeiro. Resultados: Foi possível verificar que a exposição às histórias em quadrinhos produziu efeito nas avaliações dos personagens de todos os participantes, ou seja, houve mudança de atitude, após leitura em relação aos personagens, apesar de fictícios. Discussão: O presente trabalho contribui e cumpre com seu objetivo ao permitir verificar que a leitura de história em quadrinhos é de fato capaz de produzir mudanças de atitude em relação a personagens fictícios. Palavras-chave: Preconceito, mudança de atitude, prostituição, escala de diferencial semântico, equivalência de estímulos, histórias em quadrinhos. Objective: To investigate the influence of the subjective interpretation of comics on the opinion created about the fictional characters in the story, as well as changes in attitudes towards them, based on the analysis of evaluations of the characters made through the semantic differential scale. In addition, we sought to evaluate the impact of prostitution practice on the evaluation of the characters. Procedure: This research was carried out online on the Meet platform. The first step consisted of sending a link to a pre-test, carried out in Google Forms, containing the Semantic Differential Scale (EDS). Through this scale, arranged in 13 pairs of adjectives, the participant evaluated the appearance of three characters in figures presented before reading the comics. The second stage of the experiment was the reading of the comics itself, elaborated with the same characters evaluated in the pre-test. After reading, a post-test link of Google Forms was sent in the chat of the platform, identical to the first. Results: It was possible to verify that exposure to comic books had an effect on the evaluations of the characters of all participants, that is, there was a change in attitude after reading in relation to the characters, despite being fictional. Discussion: The present work contributes and fulfills its objective by allowing to verify that the reading of comics is in fact capable of producing changes in attitude towards fictional characters.
