Maka jika manusia berlebihan dalam pengelolaannya akan menimbulkan banyak dampak yang terjadi, seperti limbah pabrik, berupa asap sisa pembakaran mesin atau cairan hasil produksi Kelalaian manusia adalah bagian dari kedzaliman manusia itu sendiri, belum lagi ditambah dengan banyaknya bahan tekstil yang akan merusak kesuburan tanah. Tidak hanya sampai di situ, limbah hasil produksi juga akan menjadi persoalan baru kalau tidak ditangani dengan baik, seperti akhir-akhir ini kita dikejutkan dengan jumlah sampah yang cukup tinggi di Indonesia, bahkan Indonesia menempati rangking kedua dunia sebagai negara penghasil sampah. Dari realita tersebut, maka perhatian terhadap lingkungan merupakan hal yang sangat penting, maka layak jika unsur lingkungan kemudian menjadi unsur juga dalam asas maqasid al-syari’ah, yaitu hifdzu al-bi’ah.

The author shows that most of the confusion surrounding textuality is the result of three factors: a too-narrow understanding of the category; a lack of a proper distinction among logical, epistemological, and metaphysical issues; and a lack of proper grounding of epistemological and metaphysical questions on logic analyses. The author begins with a logical analysis of the notion of text resulting in a definition that serves as the basis for the distinctions he subsequently draws between texts on the one hand and language, artifacts, and art objects on the other; and for the classification of texts according to their modality and function. The introduction of potatoes to Ireland and corn to Europe, and the relationship between the modern technique of rice milling and beriberi, all illustrate the fragile nutritional state that results when any single vegetable crop is the main source of food. Why biological warfare is not a new phenomenon. There have been attempts to intentionally cause epidemic disease almost since the dawn of recorded history, including the contamination of wells and other water sources of armies and civilian populations; of course, the spread of smallpox to Native Americans during the French and Indian War is known to every schoolchild. With our increased technology, it is not surprising that we now have to deal with problems such as weaponized spores of anthrax.

Water supply privatization was emblematic of the neoliberal turn in development policy in the 1990s. Proponents argued that the private sector could provide better services at lower costs than governments; opponents questioned the risks involved in delegating control over a life-sustaining resource to for-profit companies. Private-sector activity was most concentrated—and contested—in large cities in developing countries, where the widespread lack of access to networked water supplies was characterized as a global crisis. In Privatizing Water, Karen Bakker focuses on three questions: Why did privatization emerge as a preferred alternative for managing urban water supply? Can privatization fulfill its proponents' expectations, particularly with respect to water supply to the urban poor? And, given the apparent shortcomings of both privatization and conventional approaches to government provision, what are the alternatives? In answering these questions, Bakker engages with broader debates over the role of the private sector in development, the role of urban communities in the provision of "public" services, and the governance of public goods. She introduces the concept of "governance failure" as a means of exploring the limitations facing both private companies and governments.
