Esta publicación reúne textos producidos en el marco del proyecto de investigación "Fraternidad como camino para la paz. Aportes para repensar los derechos humanos a partir de su potencial ético y relacional", desarrollado en el Instituto de Filosofía del Derecho y Derechos Humanos de la Universidad Católica de Santa Fe. El proyecto se abocó al estudio del concepto de paz moderno plasmado en el derecho internacional, así como al análisis de las coyunturas críticas que este enfrenta. A partir de estas últimas, se propone una revisión de la agenda de la paz en el derecho internacional incorporando un abordaje ético de los derechos humanos. El objetivo de este trabajo fue incentivar la reflexión académica de los miembros del equipo, así como dar a conocer los avances y progresos de la investigación desarrollada. El lector no debe esperar entonces una conclusión acabada, sino más bien un mapeo en progreso acerca de la temática en cuestión. El documento se divide en tres partes. La primera presenta unas breves recensiones de algunas teorías significativas acerca de la paz. En una segunda parte, a modo de "Genealogía del concepto de paz en el derecho internacional" se desarrollan brevemente tres acontecimientos fundamentales para el surgimiento de la paz moderna. La tercera y última parte proyecta "Una agenda para la paz", al procurar articular los conceptos de fraternidad y responsabilidad social como disparadores para una nueva perspectiva de los derechos humanos. Finalmente, analizamos las implicaciones de una aproximación a la paz como derecho humano.
