En el marco de la convocatoria por el papa Francisco del Sínodo extraordinario de la Familia, a celebrar los años 2014 y 2015, resulta especialmente oportuno dirigir una mirada al derecho canónico matrimonial, en cuanto que éste refleja, a nivel normativo, la renovada comprensión eclesial -antropológica y teológica- sobre el matrimonio fruto del Concilio Vaticano II.
