La idea de este libro ha nacido de una niña de 9 años quien presento este cuento a un concurso y el que el premio convirtió este cuento en un cuento con melodía. Tiene un impacto poderoso en los niños de 5 a 8 años porque son quienes sonríen con el final del cuento y valoran el esfuerzo que hace el pequeño GRAN León. Las ilustraciones están hechas a mano y tienen colores llamativos y muy alegres. El tamaño de la letra es un poco más grande por lo que se lee fácilmente. La versión papel da la posibilidad de colorear 12 ilustraciones que lleva el cuento como extra y al final del cuento hay varias preguntas con las que los niños pueden ganarse un premio si las responden y se las envían a la autora de este cuento. Vivencias de la Autora cuando acude a los colegios a leer este cuento: Los niños de 4 a 7 años suelen ver la gran fortaleza del pequeño León y se alegran enormemente por el final del cuento. (El león valiente, el León bueno…), son algunos títulos que pondrían a este cuento los niños de entre 4 a 7 años. Los niños de 8 a 10 años entienden mejor el mensaje de la historia y suelen compartir sus pensamientos, experiencias, vivencias o sentimientos al terminar de leer el cuento. Entienden perfectamente que ser diferente a sus compañeros, amigos o hermanos puede ser incluso una ventaja para el futuro sobretodo si aceptas las diferencias y aprender a ver el lado positivo de ellas. Este cuento habla sobre los sentimientos y valores cómo; la amistad, la familia, la actitud positiva y la igualdad.
