Provides practical examples of circuit design and analysis using PSpice, MATLAB, and the Smith Chart This book presents the three technologies used to deal with electronic circuits: MATLAB, PSpice, and Smith chart. It gives students, researchers, and practicing engineers the necessary design and modelling tools for validating electronic design concepts involving bipolar junction transistors (BJTs), field-effect transistors (FET), OP Amp circuits, and analog filters. Electronic Circuits with MATLAB®, PSpice®, and Smith Chart presents analytical solutions with the results of MATLAB analysis and PSpice simulation. This gives the reader information about the state of the art and confidence in the legitimacy of the solution, as long as the solutions obtained by using the two software tools agree with each other. For representative examples of impedance matching and filter design, the solution using MATLAB and Smith chart (Smith V4.1) are presented for comparison and crosscheck. This approach is expected to give the reader confidence in, and a deeper understanding of, the solution. In addition, this text: Increases the reader's understanding of the underlying processes and related equations for the design and analysis of circuits Provides a stepping stone to RF (radio frequency) circuit design by demonstrating how MATLAB can be used for the design and implementation of microstrip filters Features two chapters dedicated to the application of Smith charts and two-port network theory Electronic Circuits with MATLAB®, PSpice®, and Smith Chart will be of great benefit to practicing engineers and graduate students interested in circuit theory and RF circuits.

This new edition provides an updated approach for students, engineers, and researchers to apply numerical methods for solving problems using MATLAB® This accessible book makes use of MATLAB® software to teach the fundamental concepts for applying numerical methods to solve practical engineering and/or science problems. It presents programs in a complete form so that readers can run them instantly with no programming skill, allowing them to focus on understanding the mathematical manipulation process and making interpretations of the results. Applied Numerical Methods Using MATLAB®, Second Edition begins with an introduction to MATLAB usage and computational errors, covering everything from input/output of data, to various kinds of computing errors, and on to parameter sharing and passing, and more. The system of linear equations is covered next, followed by a chapter on the interpolation by Lagrange polynomial. The next sections look at interpolation and curve fitting, nonlinear equations, numerical differentiation/integration, ordinary differential equations, and optimization. Numerous methods such as the Simpson, Euler, Heun, Runge-kutta, Golden Search, Nelder-Mead, and more are all covered in those chapters. The eighth chapter provides readers with matrices and Eigenvalues and Eigenvectors. The book finishes with a complete overview of differential equations. Provides examples and problems of solving electronic circuits and neural networks Includes new sections on adaptive filters, recursive least-squares estimation, Bairstow's method for a polynomial equation, and more Explains Mixed Integer Linear Programing (MILP) and DOA (Direction of Arrival) estimation with eigenvectors Aimed at students who do not like and/or do not have time to derive and prove mathematical results Applied Numerical Methods Using MATLAB®, Second Edition is an excellent text for students who wish to develop their problem-solving capability without being involved in details about the MATLAB codes. It will also be useful to those who want to delve deeper into understanding underlying algorithms and equations.

The use of MATLAB is ubiquitous in the scientific and engineering communities today, and justifiably so. Simple programming, rich graphic facilities, built-in functions, and extensive toolboxes offer users the power and flexibility they need to solve the complex analytical problems inherent in modern technologies. The ability to use MATLAB effectively has become practically a prerequisite to success for engineering professionals. Like its best-selling predecessor, Electronics and Circuit Analysis Using MATLAB, Second Edition helps build that proficiency. It provides an easy, practical introduction to MATLAB and clearly demonstrates its use in solving a wide range of electronics and circuit analysis problems. This edition reflects recent MATLAB enhancements, includes new material, and provides even more examples and exercises. New in the Second Edition: Thorough revisions to the first three chapters that incorporate additional MATLAB functions and bring the material up to date with recent changes to MATLAB A new chapter on electronic data analysis Many more exercises and solved examples New sections added to the chapters on two-port networks, Fourier analysis, and semiconductor physics MATLAB m-files available for download Whether you are a student or professional engineer or technician, Electronics and Circuit Analysis Using MATLAB, Second Edition will serve you well. It offers not only an outstanding introduction to MATLAB, but also forms a guide to using MATLAB for your specific purposes: to explore the characteristics of semiconductor devices and to design and analyze electrical and electronic circuits and systems.

Transmission Lines In Digital And Analog Electronic Systems written by Clayton R. Paul and has been published by John Wiley & Sons this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2010-09-07 with Science categories.

In the last 30 years there have been dramatic changes in electrical technology--yet the length of the undergraduate curriculum has remained four years. Until some ten years ago, the analysis of transmission lines was a standard topic in the EE and CpE undergraduate curricula. Today most of the undergraduate curricula contain a rather brief study of the analysis of transmission lines in a one-semester junior-level course on electromagnetics. In some schools, this study of transmission lines is relegated to a senior technical elective or has disappeared from the curriculum altogether. This raises a serious problem in the preparation of EE and CpE undergraduates to be competent in the modern industrial world. For the reasons mentioned above, today's undergraduates lack the basic skills to design high-speed digital and high-frequency analog systems. It does little good to write sophisticated software if the hardware is unable to process the instructions. This problem will increase as the speeds and frequencies of these systems continue to increase seemingly without bound. This book is meant to repair that basic deficiency.

Introduction To Linear Circuit Analysis And Modelling written by Luis Moura and has been published by Elsevier this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2005-03-05 with Technology & Engineering categories.

Luis Moura and Izzat Darwazeh introduce linear circuit modelling and analysis applied to both electrical and electronic circuits, starting with DC and progressing up to RF, considering noise analysis along the way. Avoiding the tendency of current textbooks to focus either on the basic electrical circuit analysis theory (DC and low frequency AC frequency range), on RF circuit analysis theory, or on noise analysis, the authors combine these subjects into the one volume to provide a comprehensive set of the main techniques for the analysis of electric circuits in these areas. Taking the subject from a modelling angle, this text brings together the most common and traditional circuit analysis techniques (e.g. phasor analysis) with system and signal theory (e.g. the concept of system and transfer function), so students can apply the theory for analysis, as well as modelling of noise, in a broad range of electronic circuits. A highly student-focused text, each chapter contains exercises, worked examples and end of chapter problems, with an additional glossary and bibliography for reference. A balance between concepts and applications is maintained throughout. Luis Moura is a Lecturer in Electronics at the University of Algarve. Izzat Darwazeh is Senior Lecturer in Telecommunications at University College, London, previously at UMIST. - An innovative approach fully integrates the topics of electrical and RF circuits, and noise analysis, with circuit modelling - Highly student-focused, the text includes exercises and worked examples throughout, along with end of chapter problems to put theory into practice
