Il terzo capitolo tratta dei fenomeni di trasformazione delle onde, con alcuni esempi di applicazione pratica per la progettazione e la verifica di opere di protezione costiera e di porti. Questo compendio è prodromico agli argomenti oggetto di insegnamenti specialistici, e contiene elementi di approfondimento per gli insegnamenti di base di idraulica marittima.
