"En esta publicación se reúnen tres artículos del autor. En el primer capítulo se lleva a cabo una crítica política del discurso de resistencia a la modernización del Derecho penal, que quiere permanecer anclado en el Estado liberal de Derecho, calificándolo como perverso y regresivo. En el Capítulo segundo, se estudia el proceso histórico de con-figuración del moderno Derecho penal económico y se formula un concepto teleológico, categorial y dogmático de este. Con anterioridad a la configuración del Derecho penal económico como un sistema más o menos completo de tipos penales orientados a la lesión o al peligro de bienes jurídicos en el curso de la actividad económica, la doctrina jurídico penal no había cuestionado seriamente la legitimidad de los escasos y dispersos tipos de esta naturaleza existentes en las legislaciones penales. En el Capítulo tercero se describe el proceso de globalización económica y tras comprobar la ausencia de un Derecho de la globalización, se analizan determinadas manifestaciones de la criminalidad de la globalización y se propone la creación de un Derecho penal internacional de la economía global para hacer frente a dicha criminalidad".
