This is not your usual book on a country. Many of the typical sites and locations are not here. No great details of the capital city, Santiago (its parks and museums). Not even the emblematic symbol of La Serena - Its lighthouse. There are no photos of the North, the dry and majestic Atacama desert or the exquisite forests of Torres del Paine in the South. Rather this is a collection of where I was while living in Chile for 3 years. Where I was when I had camera in hand or when I could take my camera with me and comfortably take photos. There are many sights I have seen here that I wish I could share, but either couldn't photograph, or regrettably had not the chance to go to (yet). Additionally, I have gone to great pains to omit people, logos, license plates and business names from my photos (further restricting my range of photos from thousands to hundreds - when I can I take many, often having to wait for people to walk by and out f my shot, much to the chagrin of those around me). However, these may be visible in a few and this is entirely incidental and are merely background to the photograph. What I hope to show is the beauty of Chile, not its people, but its mountains, seascapes, its views, hills, vineyards and of course its architecture.
