Data security is an important requirement for almost all, if not all, information-oriented applications such as e-commerce, digital signature, secure Internet, etc. All these services use encrypted data. The focus of this book is on all aspects of cryptographic hardware and embedded systems. This includes design, implementation and security of such systems. The international Program Committee consisted of 24 members who are top experts in the conference ?elds. The PC received 71 submissions and selected 26 papers for presentation at the conference. These proceedings include the 26 accepted papers and the abstract of the invited talk by Shai Halevi.
