Pero cuando las presiones y aflicciones llegan, muchas pierden toda esperanza de algun dia encontrar el amor. La tragedia es que con frecuencia buscamos llenar esta profunda necesidad y este profundo anhelo, en los lugares equivocados. Algunos substituyen la lujuria por el amor, otros persiguen el materialismo o las relaciones superficiales; todo con el inutil intento de llenar el vacio en forma de Dios en el corazon humano. Pero tenemos buenas noticias para ti! Existe un amor que vale la pena encontrar y un amor que vale la pena compartir. La Biblia dice: "Porque tanto amo Dios al mundo, que dio a su Hijo unigenito, para que todo el que cree en el no se pierda, sino que tenga vida eterna" (Juan 3:16). Sobre la cruz de Cristo, el gran amor de Dios fue revelado y ofrecido sin condiciones a todo aquel que desee la salvacion. Anhelas tu conocer este gran amor? Entonces necesito hacerte la pregunta mas importante que jamas se te hara. Sabe sin lugar a dudas que Dios te ama, que tus pecados han sido perdonados, y que tu eres salvo y vas de camino al cielo? La maravillosa noticia es, que si puedes saberlo! Permiteme compartir contigo como descubrir el amor mas grande, el amor que vale la pena encontrar. Admite tu pecado. En primer lugar, debes admitir que eres pecador. La Biblia dice: "No hay un solo justo, ni siquiera uno" (Romanos 3:10). "Pues todos han pecado y estan privados de la gloria de Dios" (Romanos 3:23). Es nuestro pecado que nos separa de Dios y nos impide satisfacer nuestros anhelos y necesidades mas intimos. Segun Romanos 6:23, el pecado es un delito contra Dios que conlleva un serio castigo: "Porque la paga del pecado es muerte [eterna separacion del amor y misericordia de Dios]." Abandona tus propios esfuerzos. En segundo lugar, tu debes abandonar todo esfuerzo de salvarte a ti mismo. Si pudieramos salvarnos a nosotros mismos, la muerte de Jesus habria sido en vano! Inclusive "el comportarse religiosamente" no te puede salvar. La Biblia dice que Dios "nos salvo, no por nuestras propias obras de justicia sino por su misericordia" (Tito 3:5). La salvacion es por la gracia de Dios, "no por obras, para que nadie se jacte" (Efesios 2:8-9). Reconoce el sacrificio de Cristo. Lo que tu no puedes hacer por ti mismo, Jesucristo lo ha hecho por ti! "Pero Dios demuestra su amor por nosotros en esto: en que cuando todavia eramos pecadores, Cristo murio por nosotros" (Romanos 5:8). El murio en la cruz por ti, y resucito de entre los muertos para demostrar que su sacrificio o pago fue aceptado por Dios. Mas tu debes reconocer y creer en este hecho. "Cree en el Senor Jesus; asi tu y tu familia seran salvos" (Hechos 16:31). La salvacion es el regalo de Dios para ti. "La dadiva de Dios es vida eterna en Cristo Jesus, nuestro Senor" (Romanos 6:23). Cuando alguien te ofrece un regalo invaluable, lo mas sabio de tu parte es aceptarlo! En este mismo momento, tu puedes recibir el regalo de la salvacion, que Cristo te ofrece, al orar con sinceridad esta simple oracion de corazon: Amado Dios, yo se que soy pecador, se que tu me amas y deseas salvarme. Jesus, yo creo que tu eres el Hijo de Dios, quien murio en la cruz para pagar por mis pecados. Creo que Dios te levanto de entre los muertos. Ahora me alejo de mis pecados y por medio de la fe, te recibo como mi Salvador y Senor personal. Entra en mi corazon, perdona mis pecados y salvame, Senor Jesus. En tu nombre oro. Amen.
