As escolas de samba ao longo da sua história transformaram-se em fábricas de carnaval, deixando de ser uma brincadeira entre sambistas de bairro para se tornar um mega espetáculo. Todos os anos cada agremiação carnavalesca faz um novo carnaval, construindo estruturas complexas de carros alegóricos e fantasias em um curto período de tempo. Um novo olhar para a fabricação de fantasia de carnaval faz um recorte no processo produtivo de fantasia de alas, propondo uma remodelação no planejamento e na execução das fantasias da escola de samba mirim Pimpolhos da Grande Rio, escola de samba plataforma para a implementação da pesquisa. A estratégia de produção utilizada pela agremiação mirim no carnaval 2016 foi baseada na proposta da autora de implementar ferramentas de gestão apoiadas na Engenharia de Produção, com intuito de aperfeiçoar as práticas de confecção, diminuindo o desperdício de recursos materiais e humanos e aumentando a produtividade dentro do sistema de fabricação de fantasia. O método de pesquisa utilizado foi a Design Science Research, que tem como objetivo trazer soluções satisfatórias aos problemas práticos, por meio do desenvolvimento de artefatos.

Este livro procura se aproximar dos "posts" encontrados nas comunidades do Orkut do Colégio Militar do Rio de Janeiro, do Colégio de São Bento do Rio de Janeiro e do Colégio Marista São José do Rio de Janeiro, procurando dar visibilidade a essas escritas autobiográficas virtuais sobre a vida escolar como fontes para a história da Educação. Como esses usuários narram as suas histórias escolares? Quais os relatos mais frequentes? Essas questões instigam a pensar que o registro das experiências escolares possibilita ao sujeito desnudar-se. No tempo das tecnologias digitais, o usuário move-se sobre teclados, telas, deixando registros de uma vida, que são examinados pelos moderadores. Mas quem são esses sujeitos nas comunidades escolares? Será que eles cumprem os mesmos papéis desempenhados pelos editores? As escritas memorialistas comandam, imperativamente, novas relações com a escrita; essas narrativas não se esgotam numa tipologia textual persuasiva; observam-se laços de ideias, afetos, aproximando os ex-alunos dessas redes sociais virtuais. Essas postagens constituem elos do tecido das lembranças dos sujeitos que não se intimidam em contar as suas histórias nesses novos suportes de escrita; os ex-alunos compartilham experiências, sentimentos e saberes, borrando fronteiras entre o público e o privado. Nesse sentido, percebe-se que essas escritas autobiográficas nas comunidades escolares do Orkut também construíam esses sujeitos no suporte digital. A obra se ancora nos estudos de vários pesquisadores das escritas íntimas, da linguagem e da História da Educação, problematizando essas escritas dos usuários que mantinham seus vínculos nas comunidades escolares do Orkut, procurando pensar que esses depoimentos condenados a pouca duração criavam chances para analisar os usos e as funções da cultura escrita, como a arte e a literatura também pedem passagem para se entender melhor cada sociedade. Aliás, a Google Brasil anunciou em 2014 que tinha encerrado as suas atividades de rede social em todo o mundo. A empresa alegou o crescimento de outras comunidades, remetendo à questão: mas quem disse que isso é o fim? Se a efemeridade habita os suportes virtuais, certamente outras redes sociais estarão franqueadas à visita dos pesquisadores que desejarem continuar a examinar outras histórias de um tempo escolar.

The Balanced Scorecard translates a company's vision and strategy into a coherent set of performance measures. The four perspectives of the scorecard--financial measures, customer knowledge, internal business processes, and learning and growth--offer a balance between short-term and long-term objectives, between outcomes desired and performance drivers of those outcomes, and between hard objective measures and softer, more subjective measures.
