Digitization and Artificial Intelligence are at the center of every board room conversation these days. Most CEOs, senior management and boards are less worried about their traditional competitors. The impact of disruption through digitization is real and quantifiable – 52% of Fortune 500 companies have been replaced since 2000. The task of enabling new digital business models gets exponentially harder as the complexity of systems are greater. Most CIOs, CTOs are struggling with when to start, what to do, and how to meet the expectations of their CEOs and Boards. Design patterns help narrow this gap by documenting a well-working solution to a problem that occurs repeatedly in a given context. “Enterprise Digitization Patterns” breaks down digital disruption enablers and delivers a cookbook across three key pillars – Digital Experience, Enterprise IoT and Autonomous Systems. The book provides reference architectures, design patterns, maturity models and practical case studies to drive new forms of customer value, business outcomes and business models. The design patterns are distinct or relevant to modern-day enterprise digital platforms that enables enterprise digital business models.

This IBM® Redbooks® publication provides you with a path to demystify the complexity of adopting a service-oriented architecture (SOA) approach to integrating applications and services. With an iterative evolution of a fictitious company, which is called ITSO Enterprise, we demonstrate several scenarios about how we can implement an IBM Smart SOA approach that helps ITSO Enterprise to achieve its business goals to be a global interconnected enterprise, one step at a time. It is not our intention to dive into the extremely technical details of every product or to tell you specific solutions for specific problems, but rather, to advise you about how to look at these problems from a business context perspective and then to provide you with a concise deployment using the IBM WebSphere® Connectivity portfolio of products to easily address them. This book will be a reference for IT Specialists and IT Architects working on implementing Smart SOA solutions using the IBM WebSphere Connectivity portfolio of products at client sites, as well as for decision makers, IBM employees, IBM Business Partners, and IT Managers.

Patterns written by Armin Nassehi and has been published by John Wiley & Sons this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2024-04-26 with Social Science categories.

We are inclined to assume that digital technologies have suddenly revolutionized everything – including our relationships, our forms of work and leisure, and even our democracies – in just a few years. Armin Nassehi puts forward a new theory of digital society that turns this assumption on its head. Rather than treating digital technologies as an independent causal force that is transforming social life, he asks: what problem does digitalization solve? When we pose the question in this way, we can see, argues Nassehi, that digitalization helps societies to deal with and reduce complexity by using coded numbers to process information. We can also see that modern societies had a digital structure long before computer technologies were developed – already in the nineteenth century, for example, statistical pattern recognition technologies were being used in functionally differentiated societies in order to recognize, monitor and control forms of human behaviour. Digital technologies were so successful in such a short period of time and were able to penetrate so many areas of society so quickly precisely because of a pre-existing sensitivity that prepared modern societies for digital development. This highly original book lays the foundations for a theory of the digital society that will be of value to everyone interested in the growing presence of digital technologies in our lives.
