Inhaltsangabe:Einleitung: Das Interesse am Bauen im Winter ist in der Bauwirtschaft groß, trotzdem stehen viele Bauunternehmungen der Durchführung von Winterbaustellen sehr skeptisch gegenüber. Der Begriff Winterbau bezeichnet in diesem Zusammenhang die Durchführung von Bauarbeiten mit Hilfe von zusätzlichen Winterbau - Schutzmaßnahmen während der Winterzeit. Diese Möglichkeit des Bauens hat innerhalb der vergangenen Jahre erheblich an Bedeutung verloren, obwohl die Vorteile des Winterbaus aus volkswirtschaftlicher und sozialpolitischer Sicht nach wie vor unumstritten sind. Die rückläufige Entwicklung der Auftragslage, eine wesentlich höhere Produktivität durch die zunehmende Rationalisierung und Mechanisierung und insbesondere die Aussetzung der staatlichen Winterbau - Zuschüsse seitens der Bundesanstalt für Arbeit besitzen an dieser negativen Entwicklung einen wesentlichen Anteil. Von der technischen Seite her kann das Thema Winterbau seit vielen Jahren als gelöst angesehen werden, so daß im Rahmen dieser Arbeit die grundsätzlichen technischen Möglichkeiten kurz vorgestellt werden, mit denen im Winter ein kontinuierlicher Bau-fortschritt möglich ist. Ebenso sind die volkswirtschaftlichen und sozialpolitischen Fragen des Winterbaus in der Fachliteratur bereits so ausgiebig behandelt, daß die Ergebnisse in komprimierter Form dargelegt werden können. Nicht ganz geklärt ist hingegen die Ermittlung des betriebswirtschaftlichen Nutzens durch den Winterbau. Zu hohe Kosten lassen viele Bauunternehmer vor Bauausführungen im Winter zurückschrecken, jedoch berücksichtigen diese oft bei ihren Entscheidungen nicht, daß auch durch stillgelegte Baustellen erhebliche Mehrkosten entstehen. Erste Vergleichsansätze lieferte ein 1984 von der Rationalisierungs - Gemeinschaft "Bauwesen" veröffentliches Berechnungsmodell , in das allerdings teilweise grobe und nicht differenzierte Schätzwerte einfließen, so daß die Rechengänge keine hinreichend genauen Ergebnisse liefern. Gang der Untersuchung: Den Kernpunkt dieser Arbeit stellt daher die Entwicklung eines Wirtschaftlichkeitsmodells dar, mit dem Anhand weniger, in sich gegliederter Kennwerte die finanziellen Auswirkungen auf den Gesamtbetrieb ermittelt werden können. An einem gewählten Beispiel soll zum Abschluß ein Wirtschaftlichkeitsvergleich mit Hilfe des vorgestellten Modells durchgeführt werden. Im Buch ist beabsichtigt, das Lehrgebäude der Meßtechnik und Qualitätssicherung in seinen Konturen zu umreißen und dabei disziplinäre und interdisziplinäre Gesetz mäßigkeiten aufzuzeigen. Außerdem wird angestrebt, Zusammenhänge zwischen volks wirtschaftlichen AufgabensteIlungen und daraus resultierenden Anforderungen an die Meßtechnik und Qualitätssicherung deutlich zu machen. Das Buch stellt einen Versuch dar, das Gerüst der Meßtechnik und Qualitätssicherung mit knappen Worten in Übersichten darzustellen. Um seinen Umfang in Grenzen zu halten und die Übersichtlichkeit nicht in Frage zu stellen, waren Kompromisseerforder lich. Besonders deutlich kommt das in zwei Punkten zum Ausdruck. Erstens mußte bei der Theorie der Meßtechnik und Qualitätssicherung zur weiteren Erklärung von Einzelheiten vielfach auf SpeziaIIiteratur verwiesen werden, die sehr um fangreich ist.

The main objective of the Water Framework Directive in the European countries is to achieve a “good status” of all the water bodies, in the integrated management of river basins. In order to assess the impact of improvement measures, water quality models are necessary. During the previous decades the progress in computer technology and computational methods has supported the development of advanced mathematical models for pollutant transport in rivers and streams. This book is intended to provide the fundamental knowledge needed for a deeper understanding of these models and the development of new ones, which will fulfil future quality requirements in water resources management. This book focuses on the fundamentals of computational techniques required in water quality modelling. Advection, dispersion and concentrated sources or sinks of contaminants lead to the formulation of the fundamental differential equation of pollutant transport. Its integration, according to appropriate initial and boundary conditions and with the knowledge of the velocity field, allows for pollutant behaviour to be assessed in the entire water body. An analytical integration is convenient only in one-dimensional approach with considerable simplification. Integration in the numerical field is useful for taking into account particular aspects of water body and pollutants. To ensure their reliability, the models require accurate calibration and validation, based on proper data, taken from direct measurements. In addition, sensitivity and uncertainty analysis are also of utmost importance. All the above items are discussed in detail in the 21 chapters of the book, which is written in a didactic form for professionals and students.
