Das Lernen und Lehren von Radioaktivität ist bisher wenig erforscht. Ziel der vorliegenden Arbeit ist die didaktische Rekonstruktion des Themas Radioaktivität für ein Lehr-Lern-Labor, in dem sowohl Schüler:innen als auch Studierende lernen. Mit Blick auf die Ausgangslage mussten zunächst die Vorstellungen der Studierenden zur Radioaktivität ermittelt werden. Dafür wurden teilstrukturierte, problemzentrierte Interviews mit Physiklehramtsstudierenden geführt (N=13) und qualitativ-inhaltsanalytisch ausgewertet. Anschließend wurden im Sinne der didaktischen Rekonstruktion Lernmaterialien für beide Zielgruppen entwickelt und mit N=154 Schüler:innen sowie N=29 Studierenden erprobt. Die Ergebnisse der Interviewstudie zeigen, dass die Studierenden Schwierigkeiten haben, zwischen radioaktiver Materie und ionisierender Strahlung zu unterscheiden, und die Prozesse der Kernspaltung und -zerfälle unzureichend differenzieren. Die Lernmaterialien werden in der Erprobung von Schüler:innen als anspruchsvoll wahrgenommen. Es zeigt sich auch in dieser Studie, dass Lehr-Lern-Labore attraktive Lernorte für Schüler:innen und Studierende sein können.

Die Fähigkeit, qualitativ hochwertigen Unterricht planen und durchführen zu können, stellt eine zentrale berufliche Anforderung an Lehrkräfte dar. Die Zusammenhänge zwischen der Fähigkeit der Unterrichtsplanung und Aspekten der professionellen Handlungskompetenz sind allerdings nur teilweise geklärt, ebenso inwieweit praktische Ausbildungsphasen die Entwicklung der Planungsfähigkeit fördern. Ausgehend von dieser Fragestellung wurde im Projekt Profile-P+ ein schriftlicher Performanztest zur Erfassung der Planungsfähigkeit im Fach Physik entwickelt und bei N = 68 Masterstudierenden vor und nach dem Praxissemester eingesetzt. Zusätzlich wurden neben anderen Validierungsstudien auch Interviews mit N = 3 Fachleitungen geführt, um die Aussagekraft des entwickelten Instruments zu untersuchen. Die Ergebnisse zeigen eine Entwicklung der Planungsfähigkeit mit kleiner Effektstärke über das Praxissemester hinweg. Zudem zeigen sich schwache Zusammenhänge zwischen der Planungsfähigkeit und dem fachdidaktischen sowie dem pädagogischen Wissen zu Beginn und zum Ende des Praxissemesters, jedoch nicht zum Fachwissen. Weiterhin wurde untersucht, ob die Entwicklung des Professionswissens mit der Entwicklung der Planungsfähigkeit zusammenhängt, jedoch lassen sich hierfür keine statistisch abgesicherten Ergebnisse feststellen. Die Ergebnisse legen nahe, dass neben dem Durchlaufen der praktischen Phase vor allem auch eine bewusste Vernetzung von theoretischem Wissen und dem Handeln erforderlich ist.

Standards für den allgemeinbildenden Unterricht in den Sekundarstufen sind institutionell implementiert und ihre Wirkungen gut erforscht. Für den berufsbildenden naturwissenschaftlichen Unterricht, etwa im Bereich Körperpflege, gilt das bislang nicht. In der vorliegenden Arbeit werden forschungsbasierte Standards für das Fach Körperpflege im Berufsbild Friseur:in formuliert. Dazu wurden N = 29 Lehrkräfte aus dem Bereich Körperpflege in acht leitfadengestützten Fokusgruppen-Interviews zu fachdidaktischen Aspekten des Unterrichtens in Friseur:innenklassen befragt. Die Interviews wurden mit der inhaltlich-strukturierenden qualitativen Inhaltsanalyse nach Kuckartz (2018) ausgewertet und die Ergebnisse anschließend in einer Fragebogenerhebung mit weiteren Körperpflege-Lehrkräften (N = 34) validiert. Aus der Analyse der Interviews und den Ergebnissen der Fragebogenerhebung wurden Standards abgeleitet. Durch dieses Vorgehen konnten 40 Standards in sieben fachdidaktischen Facetten definiert werden. Drei Facetten bilden dabei das Kernelement des Unterrichtens in Friseur:innenklassen: Das Wissen über die Zusammensetzung der Schüler:innenschaft, das Wissen über die spezifischen Vermittlungsstrategien und das Wissen über die Lernziele des Faches. Außerdem zeigt sich eine authentische Ausrichtung an konkreten Handlungen im Berufsbild als essentiell für eine Fachdidaktik Körperpflege. Die Formulierung von Standards trägt zur fachdidaktischen Fundierung eines kompetenzorientierten Unterrichts in Friseur:innenklassen bei.

The idea for this book grew out of a NATO Advanced Research Workshop held at the Catholic University at Leuven, Belgium. We are grateful to NATO for support in conducting this workshop and for support in the preparation of this book. We are particularly grateful for their emphasis on designing the workshop to build collegiality. They suggested that we hold the meeting in a small town and that we organize evening activities to keep the group together and to promote informal and extended discussions. What sage advice. The excitement grew over the three days as we shared understandings and enriched our perspectives. Indeed, there was even a proclaimed "near" conversion to a constructivist perspective from one colleague trained in traditional instructional design methods. This book addresses challenges in the theoretically and empirically adequate assessment of competencies in educational settings. It presents the scientific projects of the priority program “Competence Models for Assessing Individual Learning Outcomes and Evaluating Educational Processes,” which focused on competence assessment across disciplines in Germany. The six-year program coordinated 30 research projects involving experts from the fields of psychology, educational science, and subject-specific didactics. The main reference point for all projects is the concept of “competencies,” which are defined as “context-specific cognitive dispositions that are acquired and needed to successfully cope with certain situations or tasks in specific domains” (Koeppen et al., 2008, p. 62). The projects investigate different aspects of competence assessment: The primary focus lies on the development of cognitive models of competencies, complemented by the construction of psychometric models based on these theoretical models. In turn, the psychometric models constitute the basis for the construction of instruments for effectively measuring competencies. The assessment of competencies plays a key role in optimizing educational processes and improving the effectiveness of educational systems. This book contributes to this challenging endeavor by meeting the need for more integrative, interdisciplinary research on the structure, levels, and development of competencies.
