Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2017 im Fachbereich Didaktik - Politik, politische Bildung, Note: 1,3, Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Nach dem Ende des Krieges wurden in der Sowjetischen Besatzungszone (SBZ) bzw. der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik (DDR) nahezu alle Bereiche des Lebens von einer grundlegenden Veränderung geprägt. Dabei wurde die gesamte Gesellschaft nach sowjetischen Vorbild gestaltet, deren Strukturen auf die gesellschaftlichen Bereiche übertragen und die marxistisch-leninistische Weltanschauung als ideologische Grundlage integriert, die den Herrschaftsanspruch der Sozialistischen Einheitspartei Deutschlands (SED) legitimieren sollte. Hierzu nahm das Bildungs- und Erziehungswesen eine wesentliche Rolle ein. Dabei sollte neben der Wissensvermittlung auch das Ideal der sozialistischen Persönlichkeit, welche das sozialistische Klassenbewusstsein, kollektive Verantwortung, Allgemeinbildung, ein großes fachliches Wissen, Disziplin und kulturelles Interesse verkörpert, im Vordergrund stehen: „Alle Staats- und Wirtschaftsorgane betrachten die allseitige Erziehung, Bildung und Förderung jedes jungen Menschen zu einer sozialistischen Persönlichkeit als eine ihrer wichtigsten Aufgaben“. Dies sollte vor allem innerhalb der Schule, aber auch durch staatliche Massenorganisationen wie die Jungen Pioniere oder die Freie Deutsche Jugend (FDJ) erreicht werden. Vor dem Ende des Krieges hatte auch die Kirche einen großen Anteil an der Bildung und Erziehung von Kindern und Jugendlichen sowohl in, als auch außerhalb der Schule, weshalb die Frage naheliegt, inwiefern die Kirche diese Rolle im System der DDR noch vollziehen konnte und welchen Einschränkungen sie hierbei unterworfen war. Dazu muss zunächst die Umgestaltung der Schule seit dem Beginn der DDR betrachtet werden, um strukturelle, die Kirche betreffende, Änderungen zu verdeutlichen. Anschließend soll der generelle Konflikt zwischen Kirche und Staat verdeutlicht werden, um abschließend die Thematisierung der Religion im Unterricht der DDR zu analysieren. Hierbei soll anhand der Schulbuchanalyse der evangelischen Kirche von 1986/87 und der Betrachtung des Staatsbürgerkundeunterrichts der siebten Klasse, die Frage geklärt werden, inwiefern die Religion in der DDR noch von Bedeutung war oder ob sie verdrängt wurde, um anschließend ein Fazit zu ziehen.

The historic myths of a people/nation usually play an important role in the creation and consolidation of the basic concepts from which the self-image of that nation derives. These concepts include not only images of the nation itself, but also images of other peoples. Although the construction of ethnic stereotypes during the "long" nineteenth century initially had other functions than simply the homogenization of the particular culture and the exclusion of "others" from the public sphere, the evaluation of peoples according to criteria that included "level of civilization" yielded "rankings" of ethnic groups within the Habsburg Monarchy.
