This book covers Rudolf Steiner’s biography, presented from an educational point of view and also unfolds the different aspects of Steiner’s educational thought in Waldorf Education. Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2007 im Fachbereich Pädagogik - Allgemein, Note: 1,3, Universität zu Köln (Philosophische Fakultät), Veranstaltung: Grundbegriffe der Pädagogik, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In der vorliegenden Arbeit soll die Pädagogik von Waldorfschulen näher erläutert werden. Ein besonderes Augenmerk wird auf Erziehungsziele und deren Umsetzung an den Waldorfschulen gelegt. Zunächst gibt Kapitel 2 daher eine Einführung in die Geschichte der Waldorfschulen und schildert kurz das Leben und Werk Rudolf Steiners, welcher als Begründer der Anthroposophie erst den Weg hin zur Waldorfpädagogik geebnet hat. Außerdem wird über die aktuelle Verbreitung von Waldorfschulen informiert sowie auch grundlegende Gedanken und Theorien, die als Basis für die Waldorfpädagogik dienen, knapp dargestellt werden. Zur Verdeutlichung werden teilweise Einzelaspekte eingebracht, die zur Begründung der pädagogischen Maßnahmen an Waldorfschulen notwendig sind. Als Literatur dienen hier vor allem die Ausführungen von Achim Hellmich und Peter Teigeler, sowie das Werk von Johannes Kiersch. Kapitel 3 befasst sich im Speziellen mit Erziehungszielen, gibt zuerst eine Definition nach Wolfgang Brezinka, untersucht anschließend die Erziehungsziele von Waldorfschulen und erklärt deskriptiv deren Umsetzung im Lehrplan, was besonders in Christoph Lindenbergs Werk „Waldorfschulen: angstfrei lernen, selbstbewusst handeln“ und unter dem Titel „Erziehung zur Freiheit“ von Franz Carlgren erläutert wird. Zuletzt sollen diese Erziehungsziele in Eigenleistung kritisch analysiert werden. Ziel der Arbeit ist es demnach, die Akzeptanz von Waldorfschulen in der Öffentlichkeit zu erklären und ihre pädagogischen Grundsätze und Erziehungsziele kritisch zu betrachten. Wichtige Hinweise liefert hier vor allem Fritz Beckmannshagen. Allerdings konzentriert sich die Analyse in diesem Absatz eher auf die Umsetzung der anthroposophischen Anwendungen im Schulalltag als auf grundlegende Erkenntnisse der Waldorf-Pädagogik.
