O trabalho a seguir traz como tema a segurança do paciente que recebe medicamentos antineoplásicos quimioterápicos com objetivo definir as necessidades específicas de segurança desse paciente, visando a preservação da qualidade de vida e de um tratamento livre de danos. Trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica com base no autor Edva M. A. Bonassa de 2012 onde foi abordado o cuidado de enfermagem, a equipe multidisciplinar, o auto-cuidado, o cuidado da família e farmacovigilância envolvendo a administração de quimioterapia. Além disso, os tipos de cateteres e seus cuidados específicos, a biossegurança e as ações preventivas e curativas de extravasamentos, principal complicação de acessos venosos. Mediante um olhar geral sobre o processo de administrar quimioterapia não é possível entender e menos ainda prever o que pode ocorrer de erros e danos ao paciente, no cotidiano dos serviços não é comum realizar análises minuciosas de cada ato do processo de medicar porque isso torna-se comum, então ocorrem as falhas. É possível concluir que a segurança do processo de administrar os antineoplásicos é tarefa árdua e poderá ser considerada segura a partir do momento em que a equipe envolvida no processo identificar os riscos e criar barreiras eficazes de proteção ao paciente.

Livro de resumos do I Congresso Brasileiro de Farmacoterapia e Farmácia Clínica Desde os primórdios da farmácia, ainda nas antigas boticas, o farmacêutico é considerado um profissional com perícia em medicamentos e capacidade transformadora no que tange a assistência a saúde. Contudo, após a revolução industrial e o advento da ideia de “drugstore”, por muito tempo esse profissional teve seu potencial clínico subutilizado e ficou restrito a questões logísticas. Em 2013 teve início uma revolução profissional a fim de resgatar a essência clínica do farmacêutico. Através da publicação das resoluções585 e 586, que tratam da prescrição farmacêutica e das atribuições clínicas desse profissional, respectivamente, o Conselho Federal de Farmácia regulou e estimulou a ampliação dos serviços clínicos providos pelo farmacêutico em todo o Brasil. Em consonância com essa perspectiva, em 2014 foi publicada a lei 13.021 que caracterizou as farmácias como locais de prestação de serviço em saúde e consequentemente reconheceu o farmacêutico como profissional de saúde responsável por esses estabelecimentos. Nesse período houve uma transformação do mercado profissional reconhecendo a demanda da sociedade por assistência a saúde de excelência nas farmácias, nos diferentes pontos de atenção. Isso afetou diretamente a formação dos cursos de farmácia em todo território nacional e impulsionou mudança nas Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais, com recomendação de que 50% da carga horária formativa fosse direcionada a área de cuidado em saúde. Sendo assim e tendo em conta a responsabilidade social do farmacêutico, a formação de competências clínicas é iminente e urgente. A capacitação continuada, através da troca de experiências e discussão de cenários de prática é reconhecida pelo seu poder motivador e formativo para a área.
