The theory of evolution was formulated on the idea that all species originated from a common ancestor, in the form of a primitive organism which arose from chemicals. Being under the impression that the cell was just a jelly like substance and unaware of its true complexity and viewing it as a black box, conclusions were drawn based on superficial observations and invalid extrapolation projected into a larger picture, that existed only in one's imagination. In Darwin's day a cell could be magnified only a few hundred times with a light microscope, but now it is possible to magnify the cell a billion times revealing its true complexity. (Cell information from Michael Denton's "Evolution A Theory in Crisis") Evolution being contested here is macroevolution not microevolution The first part of this book deals with the various evolutionary scenarios which contradict reason and logic, natural laws and science. In later chapters, evolution is disproved by intelligent design and science. Since the theory was based on superficial observations, the conclusions arrived at can be subject to guesswork and one's imagination, so it is not necessary to continue to believe in this outdated theory, considering the complexity of the cell is now known. It is therefore not necessary to be a creationist or be of any particular beliefs, to realise that this theory is without foundation. Reason and logic when used effectively can eliminate a lot of long evolutionary explanations that lead no where and the conclusion can be arrived at in a book with only a few pages as the theory is riddled with implausible assumptions. The conclusions of science outweigh all the implausible evolutionary scenarios, which have been proven to be invalid by the reasons stated previously which will be explained later in the book. The reason why some believe in this theory is due to insufficient knowledge on what the theory represents, so the purpose of writing this book is to ensure that one is armed with the proper information to arrive at a proper conclusion

Evolution is the cause of everything in the universe, or so we are taught. But is this based in scientific truth? Could much of what we have learned at school, and what the media and evolutionists suggest about the origins of life and the universe, be contrary to the real scientific facts? After 15 years of research, and written in everyday language, Evolution Unraveled is the only place on earth where Evolutionary Theory is explained from the very beginning of the universe to the present day, where every major evolutionary step is dissected and compared with the facts that science already knows. In this book, you will discover that the science of evolution is not what you thought it was: • Does science confirm the big bang? • Why can’t scientists create life from inanimate matter? • What did Charles Darwin really say about evolution? • What does the fossil record say about the origins of humankind? • Why is Evolutionary Theory still a theory and not a fact? • Can any creature change itself into something else, and has this ever actually happened? This comprehensive analysis of evolutionary theory presents the scientific facts that are not generally known to the public. It is a journey of wonder, reflection and revelation that will challenge many of the fundamental beliefs on which our lives are based. With over 500 pages of astounding scientific facts, you will discover that science really does have all the answers – and now you can too. ebook and webinar series at www.evolutionunraveled.com

The Threads Of Natural Law written by Francisco José Contreras and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-12-13 with Philosophy categories.

The notion of “natural law” has repeatedly furnished human beings with a shared grammar in times of moral and cultural crisis. Stoic natural law, for example, emerged precisely when the Ancient World lost the Greek polis, which had been the point of reference for Plato's and Aristotle's political philosophy. In key moments such as this, natural law has enabled moral and legal dialogue between peoples and traditions holding apparently clashing world-views. This volume revisits some of these key moments in intellectual and social history, partly with an eye to extracting valuable lessons for ideological conflicts in the present and perhaps near future. The contributions to this volume discuss both historical and contemporary schools of natural law. Topics on historical schools of natural law include: how Aristotelian theory of rules paved the way for the birth of the idea of "natural law"; the idea's first mature account in Cicero's work; the tension between two rival meanings of “man’s rational nature” in Aquinas’ natural law theory; and the scope of Kant’s allusions to “natural law”. Topics on contemporary natural law schools include: John Finnis's and Germain Grisez's “new natural law theory”; natural law theories in a "broader" sense, such as Adolf Reinach’s legal phenomenology; Ortega y Gasset’s and Scheler’s “ethical perspectivism”; the natural law response to Kelsen’s conflation of democracy and moral relativism; natural law's role in 20th century international law doctrine; Ronald Dworkin’s understanding of law as “a branch of political morality”; and Alasdair Macintyre’s "virtue"-based approach to natural law.

What blocks the way to a better understanding of language evolution, it is widely held, is above all a paucity of factual evidence. Not so, argues Unravelling the Evolution of Language. This book finds the main obstacle, instead, in a poverty of a specific kind of theory—restrictive theory. It shows, too, that this poverty of restrictive theory is one of the root causes of the paucity of factual evidence. "Unravelling"...takes it that a theory of a thing T—for example, language—is restrictive if it gives us a basis for distinguishing T in a non-arbitrary way from all things that are in fact distinct from it, including those that happen to be related to it. The book then argues in detail that much of the recent work on language evolution proceeds from loose assumptions, rather than restrictive theories, about a number of crucial "things": The entities, prelinguistic or linguistic, that are believed to have undergone evolution; the processes by which these entities are believed to have evolved; the ways in which these (pre)linguistic entities link up with entities that are believed to be correlates of them; the sources of data that are believed to yield indirect evidence about the evolution of language; and the factors that add to or subtract from the scientific substance of accounts of language evolution. In support of its main argument, Unravelling the Evolution of Language puts forward detailed analyses of various recent accounts of language evolution, including co-optationist accounts by Noam Chomsky, Stephen Jay Gould, Massimo Piattelli-Palmarini and Lyle Jenkins preadaptationist accounts by Philip Lieberman, Wendy Wilkins, Jenny Wakefield, Andrew Carstairs-McCarthy, William Calvin and Derek Bickerton adaptationist accounts by Steven Pinker, Paul Bloom and others. This means that Unravelling...as it builds its main argument, also offers an appraisal of some significant contributions to recent work on language evolution.

America Unraveled written by Phillip Torsrud and has been published by iUniverse this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-10 with Business & Economics categories.

Most Americans are concerned about their politicians' inability to identify, much less solve their nation's problems. America Unraveled explores a number of America's most pressing social issues, the economy, justice system, culture, and many historical events occurring between 2008 and 2012. Incompetence is attacked in a bipartisan manner with the author's loyalty going to truth, common sense, and logic. Why should any American have allegiance to Democrats or Republicans when they seem so preoccupied with serving the private interests of their big money supporters. If you are looking for real constructive criticism, this book is for you. Phillip Torsrud has also written Preemptive Strike which is a novel on human trafficking, and Essays of a Penitentiary Philosopher which explores the structural failings of America's Justice system. While many of the topics addressed in America Unraveled are complicated, the simple and direct style of writing makes the reading not only easy, but enjoyable.
